I know from your other questions you aren't a native English speaker, so I'll try to answer what I think you are asking.
In the beginning, if you wanted something someone else had or made, you would offer him something you had or made in barter. But as society becomes more complicated it becomes impossible to barter directly for things. So you develop an equivalency that can be used instead of barter. In other words, if you want something your neighbor has, you give him shells, or wampum, or whatever unit is chosen, for the thing you want, which he then can offer to something else who has something he wants. This is a monetary system in the simplest form. Although it's a little more complicated today, that's why we have to have money and buy things with it.
