She is still nursing and I feel its time to wean her, but before weaning I want her to start on whole milk. She never took bottle. And I've been offering her whole milk ever since she turned one. What do I do? Ive tried strawberry, choclolate flavors, nothing works. However she eats yogurt and cheese.
I desperately want her to start drinking milk as im starting class soon. Also she nurses to sleep, how do i break this habit.

Offer her sips of milk in between breast feedings to get her used to the idea. And offer sips frequently during the day, not just at feeding time.
Don't worry about the flavored stuff - at this point it won't make any difference because she isn't used to flavored foods and you want her to drink regular milk, in any case, because the other stuff has too much sugar in it.
Are you offering the milk in a cup or one of those tipee glasses with the lid on? That might be easier for her to get accustomed to and lets her hold it herself, whereas giving her a cup at this point is going to be very messy.
When she has her night nursing, simply remove the breast when she falls asleep. She will wake up and want it back, but if you feel she has had a reasonable amount, simply rub her back, burp her, and put her down. She'll complain at first, but she will get used to it.

Cows milk is not as good for human children as you may think. It is in no way nutritionally equal to human breast milk anyway. If she is nearly 2 years old, she has teeth and should be capable of chewing regular foods. Provide her with a healthy solid food diet and she will be just fine. She can get calcium and vitamin D from other foods in her diet...especially if she eats cheese and yogurt as well as you say she does.

She can have a bottle of plain water when she goes to bed also. It will be much better for her teeth than sugary juices or milk...even breast milk isn't all that great for her to have swimming around in her teeth while she sleeps. She may protest at first, but as with all other things in a child's life, she will get used to it if you are consistent.

When I was about to switch to whole milk, the doc told me to water it down a little for the 1st few times, because many kids find the taste a lot stronger than breast milk.
You could also pump some milk and mix the breast milk and whole. Just gradually add less breast milk.

I dont see the will, different than financial , to do away with a new child from the formula he's used to and wean him onto entire milk. formula has vitimins ect...that are stable for toddler. shop him on his formula for as long as achieveable. maximum formula have diffrent ranges eg 0-6 mths 6+ . I stored my son on formula formerly naps and bedtime ( decrease returned on bottles as he have been given older) until he became 3. i might merely desire to function that pasturized entire milk isn't as nutrisious for people as human beings are brought about have faith. The pasturization technique ( a severe heating of the milk technique) kills micro organism yet additionally kills lots of the goodness additionally. formula are plenty greater healthy and as long as your new child is taking it he wont desire further suppliments or vitimins. For now merely supply him a wreck off the milk and wait until he asks for it. If he does not ask for it then dont stress merely make particular he gets various vegetables and fruit.

if she is getting her calcium from other foos sources you don;t need to stress over the milk. Lots of kids don;t like milk, and its really not that essential to her nutrition as long as she gets calcium, fats and vitamins in her diet.

the only way I was able to wean the nighttime nursing was to go away for the weekend and leave my son (22 months at the time)with my mom. It was rough on the two of them, but it helped him to establish a sleep pattern that did not depend on my boob!!
