Please do not resort to: (1) Using the dubious addendum to Josephus; (2) Twisting the Old Testament prophesies and writings; or (3) Resorting to the New Testament to prove itself.

And please don't just name drop ancient personages - specific passages, quotes, etc. are desired.

BC and AD on the calender? Come on, that's is a convention devised by the early church. Could only serious and intelligent people respond?

as an athiest, i don't think that proving jesus existed is absolutely important.
don't get me wrong, skeptics certainly are justified to point out that the historical jesus may have never existed.
i'm just saying that christianity can be "real" without empirical proof of a historical jesus.

Many historical references to Jesus the man, though some (not many) argue Jesus is a composite of a few men that lived about that time. Not necessarily proof that he was son of God, but most historians accept Jesus the man existed.

If you truly are interested you could research creation evidence-There are scientists out there who research this. I have a great video on the subject but I can't remember the name of the scientist. It is a fascinating video. If I can find it I will re-post it for you with the name/title. It includes stuff like human footprints in the same strata of earth as a dinosaur print. It talks about why we don't live to be as old as the people in the beginning of the Bible-because of the flood. Anyway will edit this post when I find the info.

If by verifiable, you mean you can prove that a long time ago some people wrote about a guy named Jesus, yes. If you mean that there's any physical evidence at all....you're probably out of luck.

Well yes, have you never heard the thunder and seen the flash of the great God Thor throwing his hammer across the heavens? How can you ever doubt the existence of The Great And Mighty Thor?

Yes I can. The Jews.
From Genesis to Revelation the Bible is written about Jesus the Christ and the Jewish People. Everything written about the Jewish People has come true, is coming true now and will finish coming true in the future. Keep your eyes on Jerusalem and you are commanded to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Look at how the Bible and other books written in Jesus time and a bit later, dated 200 A.D. were found in 1945.
Look at your calendar. It goes B.C.(Before Christ) before Jesus was born. And A.D. on the years since then. Why would men have had the calendars like this all this time, if Jesus was fiction?
You can also pray, very seriously, to God and ask Him. When the time is right God will answer you.

Ockham's Razor: " All things being equal, the simplest explanation for something is usually the correct one." So in this case, God and Jesus are IMAGINARY. Knowing this all questions are answered.

Personally, I don't think he existed, I mean, if he did then wouldn't that mean that God would be helping us? Or him for that matter?
