this is a non profit national shelter that shows dogs that are waiting to be euthanized and how many days they have left to live ... looking at this is very upsetting, when you actually see these dogs on death row waiting for their execution

This shelter is hoping by doing this some of these lives might be saved

and to see dogs have been put to their death while your still reading the article ... very upsetting

I sent an Email to dogs in danger to ask why dogs were not coming up with certain areas ... this was their response

Thank you for the kind words and support of our mission. The DogsInDanger site is new, and there are several areas of the country that are not represented yet. It's very possible that the specific breed someone is searching for is not listed in their region. Shelter registration is ongoing and the number of dogs listed increases daily.

You might try an all breed search with a 500 mile radius to expand the search.

Please visit the site often and spread the word!

You can also visit www.petfinder.com or your local shelter daily and see dogs available for adoption that will be dead soon.

Please do more than spread the word about this website. Volunteer your time with a shelter, educate people on the importance of spay/neuter. Boycott petstores that sell animals.

Wow, I didn't know such a site existed. That's really eye-opening (and heart-breaking) when you see dogs on "death row" and know it's really going to happen to such sweet animal.

Unfortunately we already have two dogs, a cat, and we just adopted a kitten yesterday. If I ever win the lottery, I'm going to go adoption crazy! But for now, I'm going to forward the website to my e-mail list and get the word out about this site. Good to know. Thanks!

That needs to be showed to every person on here asking stupid questions about breeding their dog
It can't be accurate though. According to that there is no dogs within 250 miles of my zip code needing homes.

That is so sad. I hate to see or hear about good dogs deserving good homes dying.

Add: I put in my zip code and there were no dogs who were/are going to die soon!
