Well since about febuary I have been having dreams about tornadoes almost every night. I am always outside in a field, and i see 1+ tornadoes coming towards me. I am usually with a couple of people i know, and we start running from it. We always grab onto something and barely manage to get away. But last night, I had a dream that i was in somebody else's body, and watched myself get killed by a tornado. It was very disturbing and I am wondering what it means. I am 14, and in the last 3 years 8 people I knew have died- 2 were extremely close to me. My parents also divorced, and i have been seeing a therapist for a year now. My life is filled with stress, and I am wondering if tornadoes somehow fit into it. If you know what tornadoes symbolize in a dream, let me know!

I have dreams of tornados all the time. In fact, check out one of the questions I posted (Wanna ride a Tornado???). I believe a tornado represents sudden, unpredictable change. It also represents a point of no return, complete and utter destruction of the past, and chaos. Sounds like my life!!! LOL j/k!!!

Anyway, I think that those of us who dream of tornados are going through or is soon to go through some type of sudden, unpredictable, life changing event. It could be a good sign or a bad sign in your dream. A tornado is a neutral thing. It isn't bias toward one thing or another. It's purpose is one thing, change. Think about that concept in reality. When someone becomes a victim of a tornado, what happens? They are a victim of a sudden, unpredicted, life changing event. It created a bit of chaos and destroyed the past (a house, personal property, and in some cases takes a life). Also in reality, a tornado randomly picks it path, not selective as to which house to spare or destroy.

In a dream, a tornado sometimes picks and chooses what it will do. Or so it seems. But take a closer look. And you'll see what the "tornado" was and reason it came.

The fact that you dreamed about being someone else and falling "victim" to this tornado tells me that you will be changed by these events. You will not be who you were, but someone new. I'm sorry to hear of your trauma. I myself went through a lot when I was your age, pretty much the same things (except my parents stayed together but I got a divorce 5 years after I was married). I lost a lot of friends and family members when I was your age. I know there are times when the whole world seems to be crashing down on your shoulders. But remember, this situation is only temporary. It's like "riding out the storm", at the end, the winds and rains will subside and things will come back to normal!!!!

The tornadoes represent things in your life that you have no control over and never will - Life, death, and other people's relationships- and at 14 your are being exposed to a lot of the ins and outs of adult situations and are feeling helpless. The fact that the tornado killed you while you were watching in another body was to wake you up. There are a lot of things in life that will come your way that you will not have a say in. But in your own life, you need to take control. Tonight, when the tornadoes touch down, name them in your dream. Yell out, you tornado - you are divorce, and I hate the fact that my parents are divorced but I am going to live through it so I banish you. Remember, you control your dreams not the other way around.
Have faith in yourself. I do not know if you are religious, but the old saying is that God would never give you anything you could not handle. He is just teaching us to have faith in Him and in ourselves.
Now, get some sleep. No more tornadoes, change them to a mild breeze.

When you dream about a tornado, it means you are feeling out of control, and that there is chaos in your life.

With what you have described going on in your life, it is not surprising that you're dreaming about tornadoes. Being 14 is hard enough without all the other stuff you described. You are feeling absolutely out of control in your life because people have died and your parents have divorced. Just one of these is a traumatic event to go through, but you're living through a number of these events.

It's a good thing that you're seeing a theraist. Tell the therapist about your tornado dreams, since it helps to talk through your dreams. Your therapist might be able to help you find some insight in your dreams.

Believe it or not, what you're going through now will help you later on in life. Trust your dreams to help you find your way.

Weather conditions apply to your present state of mind(confusion or calm) sunshine means lots of energy, optimism, vitality and self confidence. Cloudy skies mean fear, depression, pessimism; heavy, dark clouds mean deep despair. Rain is "cleaning out" suppressed emotions. Wind and storms always indicate emotional temper tantrums. Right now your in an upsetting time, try not to watch any TV shows that are hostile, angry, shooting before you go to sleep. Think of sunshine and happiness and the wonderful life you have ahead of you. Try very hard not to think of "adult" things and situations right now. Maybe a little rain, then sunshine. Take care of you!!

there is an evil after you. its a theif that destroys everything in its path. its not powerful, but it is very smart and appears to be stronger then you. this force perhaps is death. and its after you. but there is hope.

seeing yourself die means that you are seeing your "old selve" die. and you perhaps have already gone thru things that have shaped you into who you are now. or you will face them very soon. very soon. but you are being divinly called. the "tornado" i believe is called Death, took your loved ones. but you will be born again into a new person.

there is a purpose in your live my friend. please, consider these dreams. and dont ignor it. understand that you are being divinly called. and thru all the situations where your loved ones were taken away by the "tornado", you however will be victorious. and you shall prosper. if only you respond to them. your enturnal life depends on it. but there is a God calling you. this god that is calling out to you, i can only identify as YHWH. he is trying to save you. it would be wise to listen and respond. do as you are instructed to do. because whethr you like it or not...you will face that "tornado". are you prepared?

you probably are afraid of dieing just like your friends that's why you are watching yourself die as someone else, you need to reassure yourself "I'M NOT GOING TO DIE UNTIL ITS TIME TO LEAVE EARTH, AND GO TO HEAVEN"You could also feel guilty because of your friends deaths.
