do you have to have a HDTV for a PS3?

No. The PS3 only comes with the composite cables for regular TV. You can play PS3 games on a regular TV. It still looks pretty nice.

You can play it on a regular TV, it looks better on an HD though. I switched by PS3 over to a 10 year old 26' when I got my Xbox, graphics were still decent.

no you dont, hdtv makes the graphics much better

I've got CRT, but it's 100 hz. May be it isn't HDTV but colors are amazing. :-)

Yes, I do. A 1080p LCD set. It looks amazing, if you don't have one, and you have the money, it's well worth it.
