Our love for our family and friends, of course.

I also love the sound of a river,

the beauty and grace of a butterfly,

rain on my face,

making love,

a glass of Merlot,

the purr of a cat,

the smell of cut grass,

great art,

and wonderful music.

What makes you smile, or cry?

I have a place I go to in the mountains where there's a small brook that runs down the side of the mountain, and I sit there next to it and watch the sunset and just enjoy the panoramic view of the entire valley below me. I have my music and reading material with me, and there's no trace of civilization or its problems to spoil the moments spent there in complete solitude.

Simple pleasures. A cool summer night. A back porch. Children laughing. A dog (or two). A shady tree. Bread baking. Waves breaking on a beach. The stunning beauty of a flower, any flower. The aroma of coffee in the morning. A deer in the field. A good book. Snowflakes. So many, many more.

Thanks for the reminder.

The sound of my children's laughter.
The way my husband just suddenly grabs my hand when we're walking together.
The way Mitze(avatar) looks up at me with such an innocent and pure look of unconditional love.
Walking through the forest and just enjoying the sound of the birds singing and the chipmunks playing.
Curling up on the sofa with a hot cup of cocoa and a good book.
The look of tenderness on my husband's face when I catch him staring at me.
Just hearing my kids call me Mom still fills my heart with wonder and such a profound love.
There are so many wondrous little things that give me joy and pleasure, things money just can't buy.

Gospel music.
babies
my grandkids
walking in the woods.
an occasional glass of beer.
smoking cigarettes
a clean apartment
peace and harmony among my friends
many other small things

My cats.

Good movies.

Anything which stirs my esthetic sense.

Clouds in all their variety.

Home cooking (except for mine).

Kittens and butterflies (God's brightest ideas!)

A child's unrestrained laughter.

A good read.

Communion at daily Mass.

Winter and the soft smell of snow.

Spring and the myriad scents of flowers.

Autumn and wood smoke.

Summer you can keep. I don't do hot!

Long evenings with good friends, good food, and good conversation.

Music, except for gangsta rap and New Age Jazz.

Being able to help someone who needs me.

What's left of my health.

The mist rising off a lake in the morning.

Coffee with French Vanilla creamer.

Music.

Making love with my spouse.

A cat on my lap.

Fluffy socks.

Chicken wings and pizza; brownies for dessert.

A walk to the playground with my youngsters.

My Y!Answers and 360 friends. : )

Except for the Merlot, I seem to enjoy the same things you do.

All that you mentioned above.
To see that a child did get the medical help they needed.
All of my family together, enjoying the moment.
The quiet, intimate times with my spouse.
All the kisses my sloppy dogs give me when I get home.
Moments alone.
Sharing a funny moment with one of my colleagues.
Waking up every day.
