Tavern on the Green is the only one I know of that is actually INSIDE the park.
It is located at the "lower-left" (SouthWest) corner of the park, just North of Columbus Circle.
I was somewhat disappointed at the quality my most-recent visit, about 2 years ago. If you do go, check out the bar upstairs; it was small but quite nice (and you may wait there without buying a drink).
Of course, there are many, many restaurants surrounding the park, on all sides.

tavern on the Green - enter on the West side in the 60's -- totally overpriced tourist trap. The food is continental, the prices are way too high, the food is probably what you can make in your kitchen. I would suggest brunch if you have to go there.
Other than that there is I think it's the Boat House, it's in the middle of the partk, I haven't been there, but my husband goes all the time and loves it. He thinks the food is great and the view is great. Look up the address, it's a bit uptown and everyone I know loves the place. My problem is that it opens at the beginning of the summer and then opens at end of summer and I move up to Mass for the Summer so I never have had a chance to get there. Did have a reservation when I got into town for a doc apt, but it just didn't work out and I'm really upset about that.

Tavern on the Green is the most famous restaurant in the park, but there are lots of good ones bordering the park as well.

i do no longer think of there a eating place like that by using necessary Park. listed right here are some concepts... * The View at Marriot Marquis--that's in situations sq., yet you have a 360 degree view of the city from this eating place. * Tavern on the eco-friendly--impressive in CP * The necessary Park Boathouse--that's a staggering eating place set impressive on the lake in necessary Park. that is romantic and perfect and you may request a seat by using the window that overlooks the lake.
