my child is very overweight. what do i do? she is about 14 years old and desperately needs to shed about 600 pounds to bring him to about 250 pounds.

Be sure to keep his skin wet. Being his natural habitat, salt water (sea water) is really best. Then do everything you can to get that whale to deeper water.

A consult with a veterinarian may also be in order. Sometimes a bacterial infection will cause giant sea creatures, especially mammals, to lose their ability to navigate causing them to beach themselves. Normally a wide spectrum antibiotic will fix things up just fine.

Finally, DO NOT encourage your child to lose that 600 lbs. of blubber. He will need that insulation when he gets to the arctic ocean area. The water is very cold and without that blubber your son will probably parish from exposure.

I hope this helps. I am not a whale expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
