You can be both healthy and fat.
You can be thin and unhealthy.
However, being over weight is usually associated with poor health.
You are a little overweight... not necessarily unhealthy you are not obese.
I recommend you up your exercise time.. Start walking 35 to 40 minutes daily and you will take off several pounds before the winter holiday.
Your ideal weight would be between 140 and 150 pounds if you were well toned.

You are 5'9? Well that is pretty tall i guess. I would just exercise and stay healthy. Try to get down to 150 and then 140. No don't starve yourself because that is the wrong way to solve this. Stay healty and exercise on a daily basis. Try to run around a lot and exercise on the weekends if your bored. Instead of eating, ifyour bored, get up and exercise. sitting around eating won't help. Don't worry if you exercise commonly and eat healthy then you will be very healthy. How much should you be? You should be whatever you think you should be. Pack fruit in your lunch for school.
I hope i helped.
I am younger than you but i hope i helped a lot!

Healthy I would think. I would probably need to see you (but dont advise that because you are just 13 and shouldnt upload pics, imo.)
But 5'9" is quite tall. Im 5'6" and when I am 170, I look really good. Not as thin as I could be, but was very healthy considering Ive been close to 300lbs before.
As long as your eating healthy and not obese, I think you should be just fine.
Its best to speak to your doctor with weight concerns however. As he would know best.

noo i dont think your fat at all. I think 169 is a good weight for how tall you are! It also depends on how your body structure is, you may be super skinny and 169 or you may be a bit bigger but I'd say it's a healthy weight. If you arent happy with your weight try cutting junk foods out of your diet and excersise about a half hour a day :]

Your very tall, which my would mean to me that it explains your weight, however im not a doctor and we dont have a picture. One of my friends is a little older, and a little over 6 feet and weighs around 160-165, and shes healthy/thin!

well it depends on if you have a muscular body or more of a, um, well, chubby one. it also depends on what race you are. different races have different features like big butts or big ears or something like that. if you have a muscular body, your wieght is perfect. for a person that is 5'9, the healthy weight is 145 pounds, but that is 50%. so your weight percentile for your height is probably about 75%. which is still good because that would probably mean that you are healthy. some people that are your height are sticks, and not the good lind of sticks, like supermodels, the bad type of sticks, like those people that don't strut themselves properly. they look clumsy. and if you weigh about 75%, then that's definately not you.(by sticks, i mean those really superskinny people that don't have muscle)

Your BMI (body mass index) is a 25. That's on the verge of being obese. A good healthy BMI is between 18-25. Try not to gain any more weight if you want to stay healthy.

it depends on your BMI (body mass index)...which means it could just be mainly muscle weight you're seeing when you step on the scale, (muscle cells weigh more than fat cells.)
http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/dnpabmi/Calculator.aspx
^^ if you visit that website, then it will give you your BMI, and whether or not you're underweight, overweight or just right :)
good luck!
p.s. if you still want to lose a little weight, you could try drinking 6-8 glasses of water ( it fuels your fat-burning cells) and lowering your calorie intake each day (about 125.)
or you could try to participate in a sport, but i wouldn't recommend cross-country since it makes you gain more muscle weight and gives you "man legs", haha ;D
i wouldn't worry too much if i were you because you'll still very young and able to shift weight easier

Apparently you are looking fat. Follow these now you have to take the decision. Because I don't know your frame & you are not adult also.
Desirable weights of adults(male) according to height and frame :
5'9= Small frame - 140-150, medium frame - 146-160, large frame - 155-174 lbs.
