The only type would be a ram jet engine, a small working model was around back in the 1950's.

Plastic bottle (2 litre); water (1.5 litres); air compressor (coupel of bar should do it). Fill the bottle with the water, invert and connect the air supply to the bottom end, turn on the compressor and up up and away, mess with volume of water to improve the height, should be able to get over 50 feet. Demonstrates the basic propulsion principle behind jet engines. .... Oh yeah, and wear a raincoat.

They make mini-Jet engines to use with jet plane models.
You could probably buy one thru a local hobby shop or on-line.
If you want to build it yourself, I'm stumped.
