Nah, it's both. If I don't have the intelligence to go to college (an "ability") then I can't choose to do so. I can choose to study and learn to the best of my ability, but I may never be able to achieve the results I would like because I do not have enough ability to do so.

your choices define what your abilities will be in the future. If you don't like get educated you will have different abilities of people who want to get educated in the future and different way of living. I agree...

I have chosen to practice art, and therefore it has strengthened my abilities.....it has all made me an artist. That is who I am, among other things. I feel that it is both.
