Nothing is right in my life. I have so many problems. Everything from financial issues, to skin disorders, hearing problems, muscle problems, then from Depression to Autism. I have prayed ever night for about 6+ years that my life will get better. So far, all I have gotten is prescription drugs. I would be very disappointed if that is all the "help" I will receive. But then god turns around and gives other people all the happiness in the world. Any Atheists who answer this question saying or implying that I am not going to get any help because god doesn't exist will not get best answer. Why? Because all that implies is that it sucks to be me which is not helpful. I want to know what Christians have to say about my situation. Anyways, am I being punished? Why is god not helping me?

There could be many reasons that you are "not being answered." First, are you a Christian -- have you made Jesus your Lord, believing He has power over sin and death? God answers those who believe He exists, and long to do His will.

Secondly, is there unconfessed sin in your life? The effective fervent prayer of a RIGHTEOUS man availeth much" (James 5:16) Nobody is perfect, but God gives us His righteousness, and when we commit sin, confess it, and turn away from it, then God is faithful to forgive our sins -- we are declared righteous, and can pray for our needs, knowing that God answers.

3. Are you praying in faith, believing that you will receive anything from God? "And this is the confedence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us, and if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petition that we desired of Him." (1 John 5:14-15).

4. Did you ask in Jesus' name and according to His will (which is basically the same thing)?

5. Has he offered help which you refused? This sounds crazy on the surface, but there is a story about a man on his roof during a flood, asking for God to save Him. Two boats, a fireman, and a helicopter all came for him, but he refused them saying that he was waiting for God to save him. He died, and asked why God did not save him. God said, "I sent two boats, a fireman and a helicopter." Sometimes we look so hard for the supernatural miracle, that we miss what is right under our noses.

6. God may be trying to teach you something, and you can't move on until you've learned the lesson. I have learned in my life that the only way out is through, and that it does little good to ask why bad things happen to me -- there's too many answers (God, myself, Satan, world...) The best thing to ask is, "God what do you want me to do in this situation? What must I learn?" As I look for a way through the storm (and not around it), I soon discover I'm on the other side of it. I can't change situations (I have no control over anybody else, and very little over myself.) So, I pray, not for God to change the situation, but to change ME -- once I'm changed, the situaltion improves quickly!!

I hesitate to say some of these things, because it sounds like you have many, many things which have gone wrong, and I don't want my answer to sound to trivial, or whatever, like I have no feeling for what you are going through.

But, these are the answers I've had when faced with bad things, and they've pulled me through whenever I do them. So, I pass them on, hoping that you can be helped by them.

Why is your glass half empty when it should be half full? Good soled reality therapy advice. Quit feeling sorry for yourself and get out and start doing the things you can do, not crying about the things you can't. I know an old man who has COPD, mutable incurable lung diseases. His hearing and eyesight are going. He pops out of bed each morning laughing and joking. He looks out across his world and sees others worse off than he is and offers them what help he can. He takes responsibility for his own life and does not blame God. Like Job in the Jewish scriptures he just says, "The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed is the name of the Lord."

Try this. Tonight before you go to bed ask God what one thing you can do for someone else. Tomorrow go do it. You already know in your heart what it is. That night ask God what two things you can do for others tomorrow and do them. I can grantee you, keep that up, and in a week you will be jumping out of bed in the morning with a song in your heart.

I think we all have been through this in our lives. Especially lately in times where people don't know what they are doing or are going to do in their lives. You can't "Test" the lord. You put your part and he does his. You are NOT being punished. Maybe he is getting you prepared for something VERY inportant in your life. You never know but. The lord would never punish or hurt anyone...Well for no reason. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And i can't force you to do anything cause i hate that, when Mormons, Christians, Catholics. Like pretty much push you to go to their church. I think that is wrong and anyone can decide what and if they want o be involved in religion. But i know that i am in the right church and the scriptures are true. thank you for your time,

Kevin Castaneda.

I think that sometimes life really does just suck, we can pray to make things better or be proactive about it. I've heard it said that God helps those who help themsleves, if that is true than God must work within us to effect the necessary changes. You are God's best vehicle for change.

I sincerely wish for you good health and a better life.

The first thing you need to learn is to help yourself and believe in yourself. If you go around waiting for others to help you or get you help. Then you will be doomed to failure. As for God, sometimes he helps, sometimes he doesn't. This may be a test for you to see if you can get on your feet, and start looking out for yourself and believing in yourself. It does not matter how many problems or let downs you have in your life. This can all change but it has to start within you. Belive me I know what I say. So get up and make something of yourself....

because what you are experiencing is common problems caused by the original sins, God doesn't do healings at this time, your expericing the results of being born in sin, (sin is not necessarily always disobedience it is imperfections in the genetic code too) I have health problems too some severe but not totally disabling and have been for years, I sometimes pray for relief, I get help to cope but no cure, only when God's Kingdom comes fully to the earth will these healings come about and be permanent,

remember people healed by jesus got sick again, those who were resurrected died again. if God cured us everytime we prayed for it and we led a charmed life then why would we need to pray for God's kingdom to come?

and if we led charmed lives then many people would come to serve God, their motives however would be selfish, exactly one of teh charges satan claims we serve him for. He claims that humans would not serve God out of love but rather what they can get out of him.

No the problems we all face, and they vary, injustices, death, sickness, pain grief etc are precisly why we need God's kingdom, but being a God of justice he will not put up with these injustices and suffering forever, otherwise what good would praying for his kingdom to come be if it will never happen?

No his purpose is to bring about a conditon of unfathamable conditions that our imperfect minds could never understand until we actually experience it. justice requires that people are given teh oppertunity to turn to him, but that has limits remember noah's day, he preached for 40 or more years and no one listend except his immediate family, they survived the others did not. All signs are we are approaching this time, the worse the conditions get the more urgent it becomes for people to turn to him in worship, the very fact it is getting worse and worse (despite our so called enlightened age, technology and vast resources) shows we are in the time the bible terms the last days. plus we have bible chronology to show where we stand in the stream of time.

so you not getting an answer to your pray because you ask with a wrong purpose, your asking for something that won't happen until God's kingdom rids lthe earth of all other governments false religions and big business and supporters and takes over complete control, then healing and the resurrection and other wonderful things will begin.

I suggest you go to watchtower.org and look at all the information there, there are articles there about your problem. at the top of the page are topics, click on that. you can read about the chronology of it too.

The Bible describes Satan as the ruler of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). God promises through his word the Bible that Satan's system of things that we live in will be replaced by God's kingdom. Then all injustices we face will be over with. (Revelation 21:3, 4)

God does not hear the prayers of sinners. You have to come to God in Jesus name with repentance in your heart. God takes care of His people. You have to have faith, believe and know that he will supply all your needs. Do you really believe in God, that Jesus Christ came, and gave his life to save the world from the debt of their sin. This does not mean, we can keep on sinning. Jesus paid our debt, for the sin, that got us started on the wrong road; Now that we are made whole, by Jesus, paying our debt; we ar to repent, and sin no more; come to God; and except His grace; for the gift of God is ever lasting life; but to keep sinning, you will have to except the wages of sin, which is death, in the ever lasting fire.
I don't thank you believe in Jesus or God, for one thing you don't respect Him. When you right His name, you are using the lower case letter, always start His name with the upper case letter!!! Another thing, when asking, ask with faith, knowing you will receive. Change your ways, Live in this world , don't become a part of it , If you want to be one of God's people.

I think if you receive him (Jesus) as your saviour and Lord and thank him for dying on the cross and saving you from eternal seperation from him (hell) and then come to him as an adopted child through the blood of Jesus shed for you.......things will get better. I suggest going to the Christian book store and browsing through the subjects you have mentioned to see what testimonies are out there from other Christians who have experienced your pain and how they have overcome through standing in faith on the word of God.

Try search engines about testimonies of deliverance or healing in the areas you have specified here. I know God wants to help you there is no doubt in my mind of that.

Because you have not gone the correct way of approaching God.
Firstly we believe in what anyone of influence says and follow their advice to ask god for help. We do not ask god the way to approach him/her/it. (Why do we think god is a 'he'?).
God is common to all of god's creation. So cannot favour one over another. - cannot print money for you or deprive someone else in favour of you.
The only thing which is common to all human beings on earth is the achievement of 'inner peace' whatever the person's material situation be.
So, the search must be :
1. discover/know god or find a way to know/discover god.
2. to find out how to get the help of god (by yourself) to attain inner peace regardless of any situation.
2. or find a true realized teacher who can help to get the above.
