Zoloft exacerbated my depression and landed me in hospital after a suicide attempt and the Prozac made me very ill with dizziness, light headedness, inability to concentrate, mental fuzziness, apathy, inertia and nausea.

Oh and on a too high does of cipramil I had visual disturbances re hallucinations) and turned blue. Lithium almost killed me, I had all the prozac symptoms, put on 20 kg and the hair that didn't fall out, (eye brows) included turned gray.

Right now I am suffering through the whole new medicine side effect thing and hating it.

Paxil and Zoloft were awful for me. Wellbutrin worked, but HONESTLY I stopped using it 3 months ago when I started using my treadmill first thing every morning. The natural endorphines are a true rush. I sleep better too. Now, I get on my treadmill anytime I feel blue, angry, or just negative. The mental and physical benefits have been amazing. I just got sick of polluting my body with man-made substances with poor or unknown side-effects. Start with 20-30 minutes a day. You'll see. I now do an hour and a half each day on my treadmill. My personal relationships and attitude have improved immensely!

Yes.

If you've only been on them a week or so, keep at it, you'll head up again eventually. Anti-depressants increase your energy, then improve your mood, meaning that the short term result is you feeling worse.

If you've been on them longer than 4/5 weeks, you should see your doctor and get them to change your meds.

Good luck xxx

One that didn't make me feel horrible but was not good for me was Paxil. Nothing upset me after taking that. I also ran up my credit cards very high. My husband insisted I get off of it. If I were dying, I would like Paxil because I wouldn't care I was dying.

I take Zoloft for anxiety and it's the only thing I've ever taken...it works wonderfully for me. I'd never choose anything else. I've been on it for almost 2 years.
