When it comes to college student loan debt, there is no universal number everyone leaves college with into their working life. A person could have less in student loans due to their EFC score on financial aid qualified fhem for the Pell Grant or they qualified for some need based or outside scholarships. In an earlier post, you were attracted to an out of state college. If handled right and you worked hard on getting scholarships, you could graduate from your dream school not deep in debt. The work study program could minimalize on the spending money problem. Just remember, it will take money to commute to and from college, and you might not be able to afford to go home that often.
