Because they care about you, and your health.

When you say you salt to taste the food, you are tasting the salt, not the food.

They are concerned for you. Be thankful they care.

High blood pressure can happen in your 20's as well.

It coul be a variety of reasons. People are probably concerned about your health. It really doesn't matter how old or young you are. And if you are salting the heck out of food someone you know cooked for you, and doing so in front of them, they might be offended by that, since you're sorta saying you don't like how they seasoned and prepared the dish.

Sometimes people can train themselves to eat less salt and sugar. You might be glad you did years down the road...

Well, it is your blood pressure... 26 or not, you're never too early to have medical problems, ESPECIALLY if you have either a family history or a genetic predisposition.

because of all the media attention food has gotten lately. It used to be more focused on weight control issues, but now it is focusing on eating such and such will kill you and eating blah, blah, blah will keep you alive five minutes longer.
