I have never really thought about that but I guess I like Daniel the most. Here is a young man that is taken away from his home, his family, his place of worship, his heritage and placed in the most corupt city in the world, Babylon. He remained true to the kings appointed over him without compromising his faith in Jehovah God. Some lable Daniel as a rebel but he was nothing of the sort.

I think a lot of us identify with David, because he shows us a good example of our weaknesses and yet God still found him to be humble and a man after His heart. I can also identify with Elijah who in one instance would be strong in faith and then in the next was fleeing in doubt and insecurities.
I think the OT gives us a good view of both man's and God's characters, struggle and longings for each other. No matter what character we read about, we'll always find something about ourselves in them.

I would have to go with David. David was a sinner, he knew it and God knew it and he was punished every time he sinned but he still loved God and God loved him right back.
