seek or find ?

suppose you have the feeling that you are missing something and you do not know what. You want to know what it is what you are missing.

How do you express that in english ?

is it :

a) I will seek what i want to find.
b) I will find what i want to seek.

Both are somewhat convoluted. How about the first one. Although seeking what you want, wanting what you seek? They're both bad. When would you need to express a desire to find something when you didnt know what it was? Say 'I'll look for whats missing'!

Answer a) expresses an intent to look for what you feel is missing. Since you are in the Religion & Spirituality section, perhaps your question deals with a spiritual seeking. As human beings there are many things we do not know, but we may nevertheless have feelings about them. That kind of instinct guides us on our personal spiritual search. It also takes a degree of maturity to be able to live with uncertainty, instead of insisting that someone else tell you the "truth" about the largest spiritual questions of mankind.

"To seek" means to search, to look for something.

"To find" means you see it and now possess it.
