I have taken Paxil on and off for the last ten or eleven years.

I had delayed ejaculation, especially when I first started taking it but this only lasted a few months. If I stopped taking it and started again, I would have delayed ejaculation again for a little while but it would go away in a about a week.

Some of the newer SSRI's and SNRI's --generally called just SRI's have less libidinous side effects than others. But they do have some and may be more pronounced in some individuals and depending upon the dosage. Low dose--less side effects. Some also have a longer half-life which means they stay in your blood stream longer to put it simply.

It is not wise to quit SRI's cold turkey. Check with you doctor and ask him/her to recommend a taper protocol. That is taking decreasing doses until you are fully weaned from the med.
