Oh don't even bother. I'm fairly certain God would understand, even if your fellow parishioners do not.

You bring up an interesting point. I know you aren't directing this at Catholics, but it does make me wonder if there is a rule against receiving communion hung over.

Q. 1. What does the Catholic Church teach about fasting before receiving the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist?

A. 1. The Canon Law of the Catholic Church states:

Canon 919 §1 "Whoever is to receive the blessed Eucharist is to abstain for at least one hour before holy communion from all food and drink, with the sole exception of water and medicine."

Never tried it. Personally, I don't drink, smoke, or chase women. I've chased a couple of dudes in my life, though. :)

Try some tomato juice with a raw egg mixed in it, chased by a goodly dose of black Community Coffee. That oughta do it. If it doesn't, there's always the hair of the dog that bit you....

You need to go to Catholic Church and drink the wine at communion, that will clear your hang-over.

While you are there, don't forget to molest some young boys, seems to be all the rage in the Catholic Church nowdays....

I don't drink. The stuff tastes nasty to me. How did you even type your question if you're hung over?
