Why is it hard to lose weight for people who were fat even when they were like 5 or 6 years old , than for people who got fat later in their years ?

because in order to store fat the body actually creates a special type of cell.

These cells (which I forget the name of right now) take a long time to die once you have managed to empty them of fat. Not only that, but once they are empty of fat, they are struggling for survival, and so will desperately grab at any fat that they can.

This means that in order to lose weight, you have to lose it, and then keep it off for a period of time, otherwise it will just keep coming back on.

The longer you are fat, the more cells you will have. Also, if you were fat when you were younger, you have never been able to exercise at the same rate as people who used to be thin. You will be less fit. And so when you DO make an effort now, you also have to improve your fitness, exercise is a lot easy to do when you're used to it.

The body does not want to lose weight. It's against our nature. Basically, we're still in the "Survival" mode of our ancient predecesors... our bodies "WANT" to keep the fat to help us get through the cold winters or the lean times when food was scarce.
It fights against weight loss. That's why your metabolism slows down when you deprive yourself of food.
Basically, calories in versus calories out is the only solution to long-term weight loss. Gotta burn more than you are taking in.
