Suicide may be a final act of desperation. The person sees no way out of a dilemma and has a very low opinion of him/herself such that they see no reason for living and they think they are better off in forever sleep.
The person usually is completely focused on their own feelings and do not see how their lives are interwoven into the pattern of other people's lives. The feel alone and abandoned and have low self-esteem.
People should not get too caught up in the moment to moment tribulations of life. When I begin to feel depressed, I usually try to look at the broader picture of life. Usually tribulations are momentary, even when they appear to last a long time, it is really short when we think about our whole lives. As long as we keep living and keep trying, we will live to see the end of our trials. Even if we do not figure out a way ourselves, something will happen to get us out of it as long as we keep looking for opportunities to get out. When I look back on my life, I have seen that this attitude has gotten me though many scrapes, such that I have really come to believe it and have more strength to tackle what does come up.

suicide is a cry out for help. Teenagers(and other people) usually commit suicide when they are severely depressed. They think that no matter what, nothing is going to get better, and all the help in the world wouldn't do anything for them.

Probably because they are desperate and so focused inward that they can't see that there is help available and the situation is temporary and solvable. They don't have the maturity or life experience to rationalise and look realistically at the whole of their situation. Its just too complex for them too comprehend, depression makes you see in black and white with the world against you.
Depression makes you become subjective and you lose the ability to think of the consequences outside your own actions. It skews your mental filter of the world and reality is very negative, you become obsessed with your own pain and can't see beyond that reality, problems become bigger than they actually are.
Also its often a case of 'anything has to be better than this'...

The thing most people need to realize but mostly don't is suicidal people aren't rational. They aren't thinking rationally. Suicide is an irrational thing to do. So you can't try to rationalize their reasons for doing it. They are extremely sad. Depression messes with your mind. They don't remember being happy and don't think they will ever be happy. They also think all they do is make other people sad too. So why go on? They don't think about how people will miss them or someone will have to clean up the mess.

Some teenagers think that there life is at the worst point. They think if they commit suicide, that they will be away from there oh so "terrible" lives. But it doesn't help at all. If they do so, then they have to face God. So, I do see how you wanted to know this.

I hope not, so far I've been using dozes to keep me live and also to kept my sanity, if they are gone I'll go back to cutting my wrist. And even that doesn't help I'll jump out of the building.

There's lots of reasons why, mine were because i was depressed i felt alone, i hated myself, and part of that was because i was cutting, i was anorexic, and i was antisocial. But other reasons could be they were sexually abused, or physical and mentally abused. It could be that their parents don't care. I could go on and on.
