Alcohol is metabolized in your liver and there is no other way to rid your body of it. The rate your liver metabolizes it is about the equivalent of 1 drink per hour. After 1 day you should be alcohol free unless you are a real boozer.

The ONLY thing that gets alcohol out of your system is time. Coffee, greasy foods... none of that actually does anything to you. The Alcohol is in your bloodstream and just needs time to move through your body.

As far as the testing goes... Depends on the test. Two drinks shouldn't show up on a test the next day. Alcohol is processed through your body at 1 drink per hour from the time you stop drinking. So if you had 2 standard sized drinks, they will have worked their way through your system 2 hours from the time you finished your last drink. Now, if the testing equipment is more advanced it may pick up trace amount for several days.

The testing has come to be accurate and speedy. I've seen
more than 50 people in one place of employment end their hire when the test returned showing alcohol. Shop Stewards
say even more people have been turned away during initial hire reviews because they flunked the test. Most of my co-workers who use alcohol use it on their Friday Night and do
not drink Saturday or Sunday. I don't know anybody dumb enough to actually buy into one of the touted scams that say their packaged crap can sober the substance abuser in one
day or less. I guess those in a stupor are more easy, eh?

There are some really wrong answers that have been given.

One answer summed it up.

Alcohol is metabolized by the liver. No amount of drinking or eating anything will lower your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC).

Two beers will take approximately two hours to be metabolized. (Though body weight can affect this rate.)
