What people think and what they say are two different things. These days it is not PC to say anything bad about Islam or the Muslim people. Like the monkey who can't hear, see, or talk. Not just just the UK, but everywhere else.
Frankly, when they say Americans are stupid. They are right. We are bunch of stupid people. and the UK, it seems we are in alliance even in that categories.
I have meet and lived with so many good Muslims. I have also meet and get kicked by those not so good Muslims. It doesn't take many to do the carnage that we see today. One person like OBL will do very well indeed.
ponderer, You are right. people unfortunately have the wrong idea about Islam, including you. I'll keep it PC, and just say Welcome aboard.

Here in America? If they don't like it, they hide that fact pretty well. There is a Mosque just down the road from my house. No incidents have ever been reported.
On the other hand a Synagogue in Seattle was shot at by a middle-eastern individual, wounding one and killing one.

It is very difficult for me to think that Islam is not evil. Many Moslems say that they are soooo nice and peaceful. In Iraq, the entire Christian population is less than 10%. The number of refugees in Iraq who are Christian are around 90%. This shows that almost all of the Christians in Iraq have been driven out of their homes and forced out of their businesses. Most of them have not been forced out by 'extremists'. Most have been forced out by their own neighborhoods residents after they were given power to police their own neighborhoods. The normal population of Iraq who are Moslem, honestly believe that it is right to drive out anyone who is not Moslem.

I don't think about it much at all, since the Muslims in my community mind their own business.
They assume I am Christian and are shocked when I say atheist. Beyond that, no trouble. No threats, no sermons.

Islamism, is the same as many religions that are man made. There are many religions that reject Jesus Christ as our Savior, and the Son of God. Many religions surround themselves with things that 'agree' with man made rules, to get more money for their churches, etc. I belive that any group that lies to people about the truth, is the Anti-Christ.

Unfortunately a lot of people have the wrong idea about Islam. The picture that many people have is of the extremists in the middle east or the many criminals who have "converted" to Islam in prison and claim to follow the preachings of Louis Farrukhan who preaches that white people are the devil . Niether of these examples however are truly representative Islam. I am a white Christian but I know a lot of people who were born and raised following Islam and other then our differences in religious beliefs they are no different then we are. They do not consider me an infidel just because I am a christian. They are honest, hard working people who just want to live free and raise their families in a safe and healthy way and according to their beliefs. They do not hold malice toward me because I am Christian and vice versa.

Abraham was chosen to be a Great Prophet of the Creator of the Universe.
Abraham had two sons who were both to be blessed with a Holy Covenant at separate times.
The Holy Covenant are promises from The Lord of Abraham in return for taking on the responsibility to "Make Allah/God known to the World" and establishing the “laws of God” on the Earth.
Ishmael - first son - ISLAM
Issac - second son - JUDAISM & Christianity
JUDAISM is the covenant through Isaac.
ISLAM is the covenant through Ishmael.

2------So Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram called the name of HIS SON, whom Hagar bore, ISHMAEL. - GENESIS 16:15
