(Sorry, LOL, I'm new here, I just figured no one could read my entry if I was editing and most of you did not read the rest of this.)

... After I was finished praying the radio was quiet and when I went to change the station it started playing a song on an oldies station (and it wasn't next to the country station) which just happened to be the name of the one of the authors I was reading. This song was an unusual name, it is like hearing the song "Hey there Delilah" (that was not the title though)

I know how I feel about this incident, but what would YOU feel had the same thing happened to you? Would you believe it was a sign that that particular book was more correct or would you just say that is was all a very cool coincidence?

I guess this stuff happens all the time to people that don't believe in God.

Radio stations changing themselves to a song the just happens to be the name of the book you are reading, how is that a self-fed fantasy or imaginary friend?

Grow up and use a better way to discredit my experience.

Thank you Soul Shaper, I too believe this, that is why I purposely left out the book and author.

It could be a sign that God favors the opinions in one book more than another. However, the safest way is to let the Holy Spirit guide you. The opinions of man will always be flawed in some way. Always remember this when reading books. The sign doesn't mean that everything in one book is truth. There may be something in particular that is intended for your soul to gain from insights offered in that book.

Yes! If it was a Christian author, and they confess to the beliefs of God's word, then it probably was a sign from the Holy Spirit that dwells within you. I call them 'profound truths' when I seem to receive a 'verification' like this. Oftentimes, when I cry out to God as you did, I can open my Bible and the first verse I read pertains to what was on my mind, like God giving me a direct answer. We do have to be aware of satan trying to sneak in, too, however, when it deals with something outside of God's word. Always, afterwards, praise God, and thank Him for showing you His love in this remarkable way, and ask for Him to show you in His word what it is you are seeking. When it comes to being a Christian and seeking His wisdom, I do not believe in mere coincidence. Blessings to you!

If you have hazel/green eyes, your mind caused the events to occur. An outside source was not involved.
