Half agree and half disagree! You missed the most important step! Everything you said is a good thing to do...However the ONLY way to heaven is through the SON JESUS CHRIST! The bible says so! It says that the only way to the Father is through the Son! You must accept Jesus into your heart, accept that He died for your sins and repent. Then you do those things that you mentioned above.
God bless!

Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world.
Everyone is a sinner Rom 3:23
We can not pay for our own sins.
We need a saviour and Jesus paid it all
You will get to heaven only by faith in a God that can attone for your sins.
No work on your part can be good enough

Good morning....Although I was baptized in the Methodist faith I feel strongly on some views of the Catholic beliefs. When God created man, He knew that all of His children would commit sin, one time or another. It was inevitable. God wrote down His 'Ten Commandments so we as His children could live a better moral life if we obeyed His laws. Now the Catholic Church believes that there are two types of sins that one can commit. The Venial sin and the Mortal sin. The Venial sin is the lesser of the two. If one commits a Venial sin, he/she can be forgiven by God if they are sincere in asking God for His forgiveness. This type of sin was unintentional in doing, not knowing at the time. Such as gossiping about another individual. A Mortal sin is the most severe. One is breaking one of God's Commandments. Such as committing murder or stealing or adultery. This type of sin was committed intentionally. If one commits one of these sins then one needs to seek out a priest to ask God for His forgiveness. If that individual does not seek a priest for assistance in asking for God's forgiveness then that individual will be condemned to Hell for all eternity. Which to me, makes sense. Now I believe that everyone will have the opportunity to go to heaven if they believe in their God. God is a forgiven God. He doesn't want His children that He created to go to Hell. How do we not know that the God of most religions isn't the same God that other's believe also except maybe the one's that believe in Lucifer. Unfortunately Lucifer was one of God's three Archangels before he was kicked out of heaven by God. God was Lucifer's creator also believe it or not. Everyone has their own beliefs and religions. So I feel that everyone has the opportunity to go to heaven if they believe in their God and His son. For example the Greeks believed in Zeus. How do we not know that Zeus wasn't another name for God. What about the Egyptians? RA for example, could have been the same God as the Christians believed in. As long as one believes in their faith and their religion, then I feel that all individuals will have the opportunity to go to heaven as long as they confess their sins and are sincere in the asking. Have a blessed day!

Dear All
If there were many gods then it would have been different Religions as many as the gods are.
Now let me put a Question when you beleive all the Holy Prophets are the Prophets of One and the Same God, then is it possible that they should have Different Religions. It is a Logic Only One God so Only One Religion.
If you agree to the above Logic, then is it not surprising that we attribute different religions to the Holy Prophets?
Let me put another Question to you. Holy Prophet Abraham is the Fore Father by Lineage to all the three Holy Prophets Moses, Jesus and Muhammad peace be on all of them. Now tell me What was the Religion of Abraham? Can you answer?
Let All of Us follow the Religion of Abraham peace on him, as all the prophets after him preached the same religion.
But You people Jews and Christians might not agree might not even know what was His religion.
Again if Moses was a Holy Prophet as even the Holy Bible say, then why the followers of of Moses had to follow Jesus Christ? as Jesus Christ had preached So, Do you have an Answer?
Let me give you an example; We elect Presidents time after time and the President in the seat is powerful and he rules the Country and his people. If some one say I do not accept George Bush now as my president and I only accept Clinton as my President; Is it Acceptable?
Similarly God Allah has sent Holy Prophets one after another, as their followers go Astray and change their Holy doctrines to suit their Whims and Fancies. So it was incumbant on the follwers of earlier prophets to follow the new one who is sent after them as a Rule and by doing so they are reviving their faith towards the Same and only One God the Sustaimer of Worlds. Hence It was necessary for the followers of Moses to follow Jesus Christ in his time. Unfortunately it did not happen and only Eleven People accepted Jesus Christ in his own lifetime.
Now Muhammad peace be on him was sent as the Last Holy Prophet after Jesus Christ because His teachings were interpreted by many differently and the result so many Bibles Contradicting each other. St Paul change the whole of Original Christianity and Introduced Trinity against the teachings of All the Holy Prophets untill now.
So the Last Holy Prophet came with a Holy Book Quran which is the Only one Holy Book in the Present world, which is preserved and Untampered and shall remain so untill the end of this world.
So Follow Muhammad Holy Prophet peace be on him to follow Abraham, Moses and Jesus Christ so as to follow the One And Only God Allah the Only Creator of the Universe and its Sustainer, so as to reach Salvation and reach Heaven.
Only God Allah is the Most Garacious and the Most Merciful and he loves His slaves more than the individuals themselves. He shall forgive all the Sins of His Slaves except the Sin of beleiving in partners to Him, Son to Him.
The Religion of all the Holy Prophets right from Adam to Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus Christ and Muhammad peace be on all of them, is Islam means peace and Submission to only one God Allah or you can call him by different names. There are Ninety Nine Names described in Holy Quran attributing His Qualities.
Holy God Allah neither begets nor begotten. He was there when nothing was there and He shall be there when nothing will be there.
So Let All of Us Follow Him to get Salvation and Go to Heaven.
May God Allah Show and guide All of us towards the Right Path, The path of Righteous and keep Us Away from the Path of Those who angered Him and Earned His wrath. Amen.

IF a god and a heaven existed, all would go there. What kind of god would let people suffer for eternity? The very concept of hell invalidates god.

Yes, absolutely correct. God wanted us to be as pure as Him, in order to follow Him to heaven.
