You find humor in your question or humor in the fact that someone has been in jail?
Myself, I have spent weekends, weeks and months in the local county jail for many reasons. I have also done two years in a state correctional facility.
As for visiting, I have friends who have committed murder, robberies, domestic violence, drug possession, d.u.i.'s and various other charges. I have visited them in jails and prisons, some of my friends are doing years and another sentenced to life without parole.
I said the last time that I wouldn't be arrested again for rudie poo charges. I figure if your going to do time may as well make it worth doing the time.
Am I a bad person or a danger to the community? I guess that would depend on who you ask and what you know about the situations that occurred.
Do I regret the time served? I wouldn't change any of it, it has molded me into who and what I am today. I know people that are law abiding, friends with officers that arrested me, acquainted with a past mayor of Kenosha. None of these friends found me to be threatening, just a surviving person with a past.

Yea, I've visited someone in jail and in prison, not a relation though. The guy in prison is a friend of my husband who's been in for 30 years, and he has at least 15 more to go. First he was in Walla Walla state penn, he got transferred to Monroe state penn.

I've never done jail time as a sentence from the courts BUT; I have spent time in jail. I was arrested for not paying a traffic fine and was arested for being drunk in a public place. Neither arrest resulted in jail time being imposed so, I guess the jail was just a means of holding me until I could straighten out the messes.

Only in the course of my former profession.....

no not like that!

I teach ESL now, but I am also a retired attorney, and I had the occasion here and there to go to the jailhouse in the defense of my unjustly accused clients. They annoyed me because they made more money than I did.

I've never been in jail but a friend of mine was, and I visited her. Her identity had bene stolen and the thief had bounced several checks using my friends name. She finally was able to clear herself and get out in about a week, but it took a heap of money and a good attorney and private detective to prove it wasn't her.

Yes I have been to jail and I know from the police I met during these times that police are corrupt.
they are liars,thieves drug dealers.

I have no respect for law enforcement that feels its above the law.

I do respect those that take the job seriously and protect the community.

When I broke my leg, I had to stay in bed...and THAT was jail to me. It's the closest I ever came.

My son never went to jail either. It must be hereditary!
