First he had a healing session a man had been diagnosed with diabetes. The Buddhist monk mediated and told him he was now cleared with diabetes. A week later the man came back to us (I am studying Buddhism) and said the doctor said it was misdiagnosed. Then believe it or not the monk bought a diamond ring and he told us both to concentrate our negative energy on the ring believe it or not 5 or so hours of concentrating our negative energy the ring was ring was bent. Then some scientist wanted to do a test on him and for some reason he agreed and he was hooked up on a lie detector test and they told him to lie on purpose. they asked him are you alive and he said no the the lie detector test showed he was telling the truth because he was controlling his heart rate then they asked him do you have children(he does) and he said no it read he was telling the truth again thoughts ? he also did more stuff that i would say was more amazing then what the bible says jesus did

ahuh. These are well known frauds that tourists get taken in by all the time. There is no difference between being deceived by what the monks did, and being deceived into thinking Jesus is the Messiah just because he did some tricks too. He didn't do anything differently than the Egyptians could do too, and at least two Jewish sages long before Jesus, raised the dead - and they weren't the Messiah either.

That's why the Jews are instructed by God NEVER to allow "miracles" to be the defining factor when judging any person who claims (or his followers claim) to be the Messiah. That is why it is by the ***fulfillment of ALL of the prophecies***, no exceptions, ***during that person's lifetime***, that a person proves he is the Messiah. No other way. And that's why Jesus didn't qualify any more than the monks you saw would by their "miracles".

The power of the mind is an amazing thing. We don't even use a good portion of our brains. Monks have learned to harness this unused part of the brain, as well as people like Chris Angel Mind Freak. He can levitate, and do all kinds of other cool things. People with cancer have used the power of the mind to cure themselves. It's really amazing when you start looking in to this.

I actually used mind over matter when my daughter was still wetting the bed at 31/2 years old. She had a sleeping disorder, where she would wake up enough to dream she was in the bathroom, when she was actually still in her bed. Instead of paying a thousand dollors for this kit with a wetness alarm, etc... I used mind over matter, because kids are very open to suggestion. So together every night before she went to bed, I had her tell herself "I will wake up when I have to go potty" over and over several times a night. Within 3 weeks she was no longer wetting the bed. And was getting up to use the bathroom.

Can you just imagine what we all could do if we simply learned how to use the power of the mind to it's full potential?

I've been to India too where people were studying Buddhism and had a friend who was a buddhist monk.
I think you were misled into believing he can perform miracles.
What do the monks do for others?
They live a good life compared to the ordinary poor people!

You have met a fraud. In india they do that a lot. Buddhist monks does not heal and do stuff like that.

He might have been into the Yogi, wearing the rope of a buddhist monk, but he is no buddhist monk.

It is sad that the people of India are still trying to drag down buddhism like that.

Followers of Tantra, attain proficiency in many more such gimmicks by occult method. But these are looked down by the society as the gimmicks are solely meant to impress the audience. They are not able to create rainfall, eliminate epidemics or do any other thing for the benefit of the general masses. They also fall sick , attain old age as others and they too die.Hence the question arises as to what is the benefit /utility of such attainment.

Yogi's and swami's have been tested to prove that yes, they can control their heartrate, breathing, body temperature (anywhere in the body), etc... That I can see happening-I believe you can raise your consciousness and have more control over your body than what we currently do (since most of us do not focus or try to do this). The other stuff I would have to see to believe. Healing and the like...I can see self-healing, but not someone else doing it telepathically.

Ask your monk hero to raise someone from the dead and not the easy stuff that any proficient magician can do.
