Visiting New York City ?????????????????

Hi, everybody !!!
I intent to visit New York City next year. What can you tell me about that city? What are the good and bad things there? Do you live there? Or Have you ever visited that city?

i'm a nyc native...its a great place to visit...
just like any other place, you can go to the tourist attractions or get the feel of the local neighborhood in the outer boroughs.

everyone in nyc considers manhattan "the city" and the other 4 boroughs of the bronx, queens, brooklyn and staten island all have their own flavor...
arthur ave in the bronx, walking over the brooklyn bridge, taking the staten island ferry past the statue of liberty, taking the train out to coney island etc...
as for the bad things, its pretty safe in most areas before dark and as long as you dont act like a tourist and have self confidence, then people are less likely to take advantage of you.
common sense is key.

visit the boutiques in soho
check out st pats cathedral and saks
catch some music downtown
take the circle line ship around manhattan
check out some theater (off broadway works too!)
imax movie at lincoln center
pizza under the brooklyn bridge (grimaldi's)
walk around the east village wed thru sat nights and witness the hilarious youth culture hipster barhop
buy cheap sunglasses on st marks

May I recommend the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor, which is located in Weekhawken, NJ. The on-site parking lot at the hotel, as well as access to both ferries service to NYC. There is also a light rail station with walking distance to the hotel. The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will take your from Lincoln Harbor south to Hoboken, where a connection to the PATH Train can be made. I hope this infomration is very helpful. I never visited the city of New York, then he is difficult to give a suggestion to it of places to visit. I heard to say that metropole is one and as all metropole has an enormous accumulation of cultures to be learned. However also they costumam to be more dangerous than cities of the interior.

I was eating lunch at Carnegie Deli when tourists started talking to me. They were simply overwhelmed by the electricity and energy of Manhattan. They have never experienced such a surge of excitement in their lives.

ny is the best and the worst in boroughs like the bronx theres alot of gangs and gang activies incontrast with manhattan there it clean and very metropolitan the streets are clean and ull see lots of people in bussines suits i love manhattan with all the huge buildings u are gonna be amaized
