can someone tell me fast dogs other than greyhounds,slow dogs, etc.?

All of the sight hounds are the fastest. As for the slowest, I'd say an older dog. All dogs are fast, at least faster than humans. My Dachshund can run like the wind just like every other Dachshund, but people think they're slow. That's why they have Dachshund races!

I believe any of the sight hounds are some of the fastest dogs. I have cocker spaniels and they are very fast...it even states in the stardard that they are a dog of considerable speed and endurance. I also have a mini daucshund and when she runs her fastest...she looks so funny and I'm quite impressed by how fast she can run!

slow dogs are some of the heavier boned breeds like the clumber spaniel and english bull dog.

I understood the greyhound was #1, followed by a whippet and then my dog Doberman. Slow dog ? maybe a tea cup Chihuahua (?)

the sighthounds are the speedsters of the dog world - that includes the greyhound, the Saluki (i understand a saluki held the European track record for a while), the whippet, the Afghan, Borzoi, Deerhound, Irish Wolfhound (not the fastest sighthound) and others

pretty much any dog is faster than you. Even short legged dogs can pretty much outrun a person. I've seen a 3 legged dog who would out run my golden everyday. Bassets are sort of slow in the dog world, but will still outrun you if it wanted too.

Salukis are incredibly fast, but only for short distances, so the greyhound will beat them long distance. Corgi's are also pretty dag-gone fast! My corgi can kick butt!
