Puppies should get their first vaccinations at 8 weeks of age. This is distemper/parvo/adenovirus-2.Then a repeat at 12 weeks and again at 16 weeks. At 20 weeks or older they get rabies.

It is not recommended to give Lepto, parainfluenza, lymes or bordatella (kennel cough) to every puppy only those that are at high risk of exposure.

No puppy/dog should ever get coronavirus, adenovirus-1 or giardia.

The above is the current protocol for the AAHA/AVMA and all 27 vet schools.

No puppy should be vaccinated under 8 weeks. It interfers with natural immunity, can cause furure issues with vaccinations, can supress immune systems and can leave the puppy suseptible to the very illness the vaccine is meant to protect against.

My experience has been 6-8 weeks. They get 3 rounds of shots. Next is 10-12 weeks then 14-16 weeks old. After that a semi-annual and annual check up with vaccines is recommended.

Puppies need to start getting their vaccinations at the age of six weeks. The first shot will be a parvo shot and then every two weeks after that they will get a 6 in 1 shot that will have the other immunizations they need in it. At 16 weeks of age they will get their rabies shot and at 6 months of age they will receive their last parvo booster. After that the shots will be given once a year.

If your puppy has had no vaccines, that is fine. No need to rush off and get them as long as you are keeping him away from pet stores, dog parks and other places dogs hang out. PLEASE read up on vaccines and make informed decisions. They should not be passed out like candy like most vets do. Learn why they are given in a series and skip that if you can. We give one parvo shot at 12 weeks adn one distemper at 14 and nothing else the rest of their lives. NO mutil shots that contain more then one virus. There is good reason for that and you need to look into it for the health of your dog.
This is the vaccine protocol I have followed for years and recommend it.
