It wants the Office key, not the Vista key.

Do you have one of those 30-day free trials, or did you buy it?

Hi, I think that u r entering the Windows Vista product key not the Microsoft Office one. In this case u have two options, either buy online or go buy it from a computer store. They usually install a trial version of Microsoft Office on pc's. You can also download a free office suite as good as Microsoft Office 2007. It is called Open Office. Get it at:

Good Luck and take care!

it was probably a 60 day trial version of office - you will need to go buy microsoft office to have a legal product key. Office is expensive but if you are a student you can get it for a lot cheaper. around $79 compared to $279

When you register the product you have an option of registering it by phone choose this option. The Rep will register it for you they may have to give you a new product key. Have someone else look at the key to make sure it is being typed in correctly.

Is the computer a braded one? Did you purchase Microsoft Office with it? If not, the person who sold that computer to you has installed a trial version of Microsoft Office and you would need to buy a copy.

check the product key again...its generally a long number and letter combination with dashes in the middle of each.

Make sure its the right MS Key your entering for that MS program your trying to use.
