I used to, but have not come upon any evidence to suggest he did. At this point, I doubt he was real. If you believe he was a real person, is this speculation or do you have evidence that suggests he was real?

i have to believe he was real-physical evidence would be hard to come by now but to many reports to dispute this one with logic-i think that most stories has some kernal of truth-also think he must have been a really cool person to know-----enjoy the day

I used to, but lately, like you, I've started to doubt this when I've realised the lack of evidence. In fact I think there might even have been some evidence suggesting he didn't exist. Can't say I've thought about it a great deal because it doesn't matter to me anyway. Butt there most likely was a real person (or maybe more) that caused some of the basis of all these myths.

Well I used to assume that someone called jesus actually existed because presumably there was some evidence for that

I've since found out that there is no evidence of such a person existing the only writings were a while after he died and quite contentious (ie "edited" at a later date)

I believe someone existed around that time who was very charismatic and most likely a socialist antagonist bordering on anarchism. Someone who defied the ruling class and stood for the common man. This person did not claim to be the son of God however his strong influence is why much later on he was elected the son of God. I don't think this man would be a Christian if he existed today. His behaviour suggests that he was against organised religion and the bending of people's will. 2000 yrs ago he was controversial, imagine what he would be up to today. He would be considered the anti-christ I reckon!

I think there's plenty of evidence, if only testimony, that he existed about two thousand years ago. Most of history is simply testimony so why consider the others and not Jesus. I also think that he espoused to many others the way to live a peaceful and morally correct life. But there is no evidence to suggest that he was the son of some god or that his mother was a virgin. All of that and where it led is delusional thinking.

On the available documentary evidence I'd say probably. It seems less likely to me given the dating of the new testament documents and other apropcryphal texts that the figure they were based on was entirely invented from scratch.

Much of what was written is clearly mythological, often explicitly so to those who understand how to read myth, but there are biographical details and a consistency in his teachings and setting that suggest an actual historical person.

I don't know. There's some archaeological evidence to suggest he existed, but not as much as the evidence supporting other prominent figures from the same time.

It is said that there is evidence of his existance. It might be true, but since the evidence is from religious sources, it is good common sense to question the validity.

He didn't want there to be proof (evidence of his existence)! How else could we have blind faith? He wants you to believe in him through Faith. He has shown he is the son of God by all the miracles ( then and now) If he was still here most people would use and abuse him for his miracles. Then when he stopped performing them people would disown him. So the answer is yes he was a human form for 33 years and is still alive in my heart today. That's all the proof I need. GOD BLESS!!

There's no evidence that Jesus existed. In fact, the evidence shows that Jesus was based on characters from older myths.
