When God speaks to mankind it is always perfect so the Bible when it is the word of God and/or the inspired will of God it is indeed perfect.
Imperfections can occur through translation or by deliberately changing the scripture to suit your own agenda, and this has been done especially by the Protestant reformers and their supporters, JW`s and other breakaway groups, but yet the essence of Gods true spoken word is always present.

The bible does not have to be perfect, does not have to be the best, but we get out of it what we put into it, if it has an error, which it should, we have it corrected and understood in our study and nothing left to comolain about.

At year 2513, O.T. 1110 years, 39 books, many write, done 443 before Christ.

How is it we have it in 2007 after Christ from a popular version 1611 ad or CE published. Now there are many to choose from.

In it's original form (before translation) yes, as are the Vedas, the I-Ching and other divinely inspired writings. But none were meant to be taken literally. The old testament is nothing more than an historical accounting with moral value, the new testament is considered to be the teachings of Christ - again with moral value. The beauty of all these writings is in the verses as a whole. They are not meant to be an exact blueprint of how to live your life word for word but more as a guideline

The Bible, contrary to popular belief, wasn't written by God during a summer he rented a cottage on Martha's Vineyard. In order to believe it's His word, requires the "leap of faith."

I can't make such a leap, as I believe strongly, that although full of the most beautiful literature, it is nonetheless an exclusive invention of man, translated from many dissimilar languages and tainted with many agendas. As such, like man, it is very IMPERFECT.

The Old Testament: very questionable. The paradigms of Christ in the New Testament: a reliable and meaningful way to conduct one's life during their brief time on earth, regardless of whether one sees Christ as divine or not.

I believe the Bible is the word of God but since it a compilation of old texts it is subject to errors in uninspired translations among other things and the fact that some of the books were never inspired.

The Word behind it is. The book is subject to misprints and coffee spills.

Why...? Well how would someone 2000 years ago come up with the idea that your buying and selling could be controlled by some silly "Mark" on your right hand or forehead?

Now... look up RFID chip and compare it to the "Mark of the Beast."

Too many prophecies have come true for me NOT to believe.

It depends on your goal.

It was compiled as a part of a plan by the emperor Constantine to counter the growing christian threat to the empire.

It was done in the hope of subverting the teachings of Jesus.

It was very effective at doing this, so you could say that it is perfect if subverting the true teachings of Jesus were your goal.

Love and blessings Don

Totally, only the interpretations of it are faulty. It is the living Word of God and when revealed by the Holy Spirit it is 100% Perfect. Praise Jesus !!!
