I have never seen any publication suggesting this is taking place. You are very correct in making the statement of being a negative thinker. As you are well aware by now, negative thought processes will eventually be accompanied by the imagination. Which can expand those negatives even greater.
It would appear you have some work to do. In the attempt to reverse this process of thought programming.
You must try to determine why you find it necessary to worry about things. To the point of anxiety. Most of these depressing episodes can be traced back as far as the formative period of your life. Some emotional response to a rather severe event. Sufficient to have it buried within the very deep recesses of the mind..So you wouldn't have to face it or, think about it. Yet it will trigger emotions you seldom understand why. But they do trigger negativity.
It may be interesting to discover what can be done to eliiminate that trigger.

Anxiety and worry are fear based. The more fear you have, the worse the anxiety and worry. Find social activities where you feel comfortable and begin to mingle. That will allow you to freely express yourself, but it takes practice. It feels uncomfortable at firsst. At the stores and in parking lots or walking on sidewalks, smile or say hello, make eye contact and genuinely care, it comes back to you ten-fold.

Well, there was a criminal case in San Francisco years ago known as the 'Twinkies' case, where the man said his blood sugar was so high from sugar intake, that he was out of his head when he killed two people...Caffeine also has a stimulus affect,..and can affect your nervous system, make you a nervous wreck, etc. There is also a book out, called, the Sugar Blues, which tells how sugar can cause personality changes, depression, etc. Yes, I believe that food does and can affect us.

Try looking at it another way - the foods you eat could be reflecting the way you feel.
For example, stressed or unhappy people can turn to food for comfort or distraction.
I reckon certain types of foods could certainly make you feel physically better or worse, but wouldn't necessarily change you into a negative person.

Well it is a fact that fresh fruit and vegetables can lift the mood, as does chocolate, however too much can have a detrimental effect.
Sorry that's not much help :) xx
