no journalist has pointed out the flaw in his point (no-one can force humans to appear on The Jeremy Kyle Show in the way that bears could be). Whilst the show has, perhaps justifiably, come in for some criticism, nobody has taken the time to criticise the man who headbutted someone else, a vicious and cowardly action no matter what the 'provocation', that catch all term that excuses so many criminals.

Kind of agree with you . I think Jeremy's general view is that he genuinely wants to help people with their various problems.
Admittedly, some may go on the programme for 'other' reasons.
But i think the 'bear-baiting' tag is unfair, and uncalled for.
It's not like the programme is like that genuinely disturbing programme, 'Jerry Springer', who i DID think baited people into making unwise decisions. All for ratings.
The ahem, 'gentleman' that head-butted the other guy should have been held in a secure room until the police turned up to arrest him.
Jeremy has on a number of occasions thrown people off his programme for saying they were going to do what this 'gentleman' did.
The headbutt so surprised everyone that i don't think anyone had time to react properly in the studio.
I will be sorry to see the programme go, not because i am an avid viewer, i'm not. But i do think there will be a lot of people missing out on genuine help as a result of this.

You're right. It always amazes me the way people who have been waiting to come on to the floor to discuss the subjects come out as though it is expected that they be aggressive to the person already there.
It does make interesting television akin to bear fighting.
Why does Jeremy have to shout so much at the people on?
The real star must be the psychologist who helps the people afterwards.
I think some of the people coming on do feel pressure to be on, to sort out the situations.

This is low budget t.v. When you invite / entice these kind of people on the show the producers know there will be fireworks.
If as a result of this form of "entertainment" someone gets injured then the producers are liable.

Lets face it, the Jeremy Kyle show will never get a prime time spot, I wonder why...............

i dont think that the Jeremy Kyle show is as bad as the X ~Factor. At least the JK show edited out the offensive scene, every week we are encouraged to watch as 4 so called judges tear strips off dillusional, often young, hopefuls who havent got a hope in hell of winning.

How can they actually assume a guy to stroll directly to a teach and notice his ex spouse/lady pal sitting with yet another guy and not react particularly after Jeremy (Holier than nonetheless ) Kyle starts issues off with the aid of getting the adult males decrease back up. i think of they must eliminate this form of viewing and those people will ought to locate yet in any different case to sort their problems out different than air their problems in public.

Well, the show should have some culpability. Let's face it, they're not doing a public service, it's entertainment, and as far as their concerned, the more outrageous the better.
But you're right, the judge should've really dismissed the fact it happened on a TV show and treated it like a regular assault.

I'm not convinced that people who come onto that show always do so voluntarily.

Many of them are unfortunate, often poor, people who do so because they desperately need help with problems such as debt, alcohol or drug addiction, etc.

I think they are taken advantage of sometimes and seem to be told to over-act, eg. being very angry or very upset - to make the show appear more interesting.

In that sense it is a human form of bear baiting
