4)The pen is mightier than the sword = Used to emphasize that thinking and writing have more influence on people than violence and force.
5)A rough diamond = Somebody who appears to be stricter than they really are.
6)Throw down the gauntlet = Challenge sb, pick a fight.
7)Birds of a feather, flock together = People who have the same interests, go together.
8)Still waters run deep = People who can cause you harm are usually those you don't expect.
9)Let the cat out of the bag = Reveal a secret.
10)Storm in a tea cup = Fussing over sth unimportant.
