That's not an imaginable scenario.
A more imaginable scenario is God asking us if we want to be His son or daughter. To be part of His family and have His love is also to submit to His authority. Children are not the equal of the parents in the family. We have to choose.

He wouldn't ask that question, "How come people don't believe in him as much?". Because he gave people the capacity to choose and it includes the choice of believing him or not believing him. Because he actually asked prophets to prophesize that there are actually people going to hell. He already know that from the start. And I'm not telling this to God, I'm telling this to you. You seem to be asking for a justification of God's existense and you're making it look God is asking the question.

i would tell God, people has their own way and seems can't believe something that needs their faith to work!
They don't have the courage to believe on something they do not see and touch! And they are much happier to just follow doctrines and traditions of men rather than listening in the Holy Words of God, to know the ways of the LORD GOD.
Most people want to see something before they believe, they do not go by their spirit, by their faith in God even Lord Jesus. They go by their own way and where they seems comfortable and no effort at all, just follow what their leaders do and they are satisfied. They are so slothful and lazy to know God, His ways, His commandments, that's why they do what they think it is the way, their own way! Amen.

I would have to answer that as Christians we are not doing enough to witness for Him. Also that we do not make our voice known on issues that have led to the moral decay of our country. We are 86% of the population yet we have sat on our hands and let the 14% non believers take prayer out of school, and they are trying to remove God from every public place in this country especially our schools where our young people are being being taught alternative lifestyles as normal and right. Our Entertainment industry reeks of drugs, sex, violence and promotes disrespect and disobedience.
I would ask Him to forgive me for not doing my utmost to spread the word and tell everyone the good news of Salvation through belief in God's Son Jesus.

if you don't do anything, say anything or be anywhere .... then I would suppose it is the people who do believe in god that are whack jobs.
but yeah, what about that all knowing, all seeing bit?
and then, since god was at my table, and now I know he exists (let's say for some odd reason I don't think I have gone mad) .... then I would say, "why should I answer you? You have never bothered to answer humans since the time of jesus - and by the way; how are you going to rectify all the doom and death and despar? You are doing a pretty shitty job as a god. Roman gods did a better job."

I would say that people now of days lack faith in the unseen truth. They would rather believe in a lie that is seen. Also, people like to do want they want instead of following rules.
