Let them ask questions, maybe they'll see another viewpoint they hadn't considered before.
Or...
Maybe they'll ask a question that Christians hadn't pondered before.
Never be afraid of a question.

No, I want them to stop mocking our faith. If they do not want to hear from Christians, fine with me. I resent seeing all the blasphemous filth these mockers come up with! It is like they have filthy minds and they say the most vulgar things! There are a few atheists that are respectful. I have nothing against you even if I do not agree with you. At least a few have shown they are human and are decent. Most are the most vile and awful group of humans I have ever encountered. I do not see how the moderators don't catch this and put a stop to such disrespect. I have to admit there are some Christians who do the same. Not as many, but some. It makes me very upset that they cannot ask a legitimate question without some vile comment or mocking. I do not want anyone to lose the right to post respectful questions. However, I do not think this forum should be used to disrespect anyone.

Im an athiest and i wouldnt want religious people to stop posting, the only way to have educational (okay not so educational on these forums) debate is to have conflict of belief. Sometimes we are snide, but so are you. The only people i want to quit posting are people with no idea what they speak of. That goes for both parties.

No, we don't.
We could live without the sarcasm though.
As for all the "Why are Atheists on R&S if they don't believe in God?" questions, you have to look at it from our perspective. Many Christians on here for the first time don't understand this and genuinely are asking the question. They are also taken by surprised at all the animosity.
Look at this question, for example. You want Christians to reply, presumably in earnest, yet some will take the opportunity to bash and mock us and our beliefs. People who are lowering themselves to this level are not helping others or making a positive contribution.

I am glad atheists post questions in R&S. This means they are reading, and that they are curious. I don't even mind the sarcasm. I personally think it shows a bit of defensiveness on their part, indicating that they have some doubts about their own beliefs. So, the sarcasm is actually encouraging to me. I can understand why people would get tired of it. On the surface, it does get frustrating, but if you look beyond the surface and look deeply at the underlying cause(s) of such sarcasm, you will see that the sarcasm is just an indication that the person doubts their own beliefs and therefore, feels a strong need to put down the other person's views.

Of course I wouldn't want them to stop - they're looking for answers. We Christians can answer them and perhaps even share the Gospel.
There are times, though, when people get mean...more respect is needed here, and of course, that goes for both sides.

Aint gonna happen! We are going to stay right here, because we enjoy the company.and the enlightenment! We are looking for some answers, too! and we try to be nice!
We give respect when it is due. But when people start off questions with an insult. we're going to give it right back!
I can answer questions all day long, and enjoy doing it, but, I will not tolerate an attitude! And why should I have to?
I get tired of answering the same questions over and over again! On the question tool bar, as you type, it shows you what like questions have already been asked! Just try a little originality once in awhile, that;s all, after we get so many of the same old questions why bother! HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF WE DID THIS:::::
Christians, why do you believe in god? where is your proof?
Why do you believe in God, Christians, I don't see how you can, without proof!
Where is god? I don't see Him!
Christians! I just can't understand how come you think there is a god! You can't see him! So, where is he?
Why do you believe in God christians, why don't you have the proof?
What if we could prove absolutely that God didn't exist; would you shut up then?
Why do you believe in God, where is he?
Now, do you get my point? It gets old after awhile, doesn't' it?

nahhh...a few of them are actually thought provoking...and some are so goofy that i can't help falling out in laughter, which is always fun-i just wish i didn't have to wade through so much insult, sophomoric word games, and pseudo-intellectual arrogance to find them...at times it's like trying to find a diamond ring in a septic tank
EDIT
i AM getting tired, however, of seeing so many questions posted to Christians being answered FOR us...

No.
1) This is not a Christian website; it is an open forum
2) They have a right to speak their mind
3) They may raise valid points
4) Misunderstandings could be corrected
