Is this new or old news? when and where was it reported and how does it have any bearing on religious events?
I am a Christian, and I support a free Ireland. I do not support reckless or terrorist activities on innocent children or bystanders, and I doubt any good Christian does. The IRA has disbanded for the most part and the Irish Protestant red hand and unionists have declared a peace.
Incidentally I am protestant.
So why do you bring this up? are you painting with a broad brush?

Thousands of Protestants and Catholics in Ireland did demonstrate against bombings. One of the organizers, Mairead Maguire, was awarded the Noble Peace Prize.

No. They didn't. And I'll bet that you can't find where all Christians rose up to do anything in particular. Which really proves nothing. It's just that all Christians do not think alike. And some of those Christians in the world were Catholics. And they don't all think alike either. Which also proves nothing in particular or worth stating.
But one thing seems assured: You have a bone to pick.

This happens when we let the religion to be more important than following God. We are not Christlike at all times. We let religions get in a way and we do not let the Holy Spirit of God to guide us.

It was the Christian Right that helped get Bush in office and that caused the death of millions of innocent people.I am a Christian but not the kind that go around lying and making millions of the blood of others. And yes some did.
