I don't know how God originated. Does the creator have a creator? Valid question void of any honest answer. For humans, He is the beginning and the end. As for Himself, who knows.

In a way he did create himself.
The Holy Trinity took turns creating each other, and now they're not sure who created who.
They've been arguing like hell about that from the beginning, that's why there are so many contradictions in the Bible.
They're not sure who's in charge, and they get so mad that they start throwing lightening bolts all over the place.
Many innocent people have been killed on the sidelines.

Folks are still trying to figure out why he bothered to tell us that he was the Alpha and Omega , if he knew we couldn't understand that kind of explanation.

Well, this is the 'ol which came first, the chicken or the egg question.

How could the Universe not exist? Since we know it does exist, where did it come from? How? How is it possible something could be made from nothing?

I think the questions are beyond our ability to comprehend and we won't be able to understand or comprehend until we have been resurrected and have an eternal nature like our Father in Heaven and Christ. This is just my opinion. No one else knows either.

Very interesting question. I welcome the answer as I often thought about this my self. I have to say that God does have his creator. It is hard to believe that he materialized out of no where. I always wonder too... imagine, if there was no creatures, no universe as we know it, no space to plant the universe and creatures. What would be in it's place, where we are now. A vacant lot? And where did the vacant lot come from - if there was no GOD.

It is very interesting that very little has been discussed or thought about who created GOD. I guess it is just too much for the human brain to grasp.

I think about that often, It's all to powerful for a being to think himself into existance. It feels my heart with AWE! What Magnificient Power and Ability. Who else besides Allah can do such a Miraculous thing.

And he's The only being who has and ever will do that. Here we all are now benefiting from what he has created:)

I give All Praises, Victory and Glory to Allah! The Lord of all Worlds!

lol the answer is always "he's eternal", "he was always there before time and space" blah blah. Yet they tell us something can't come from nothing. By the same token of logic that would be the same for god but of course they get away with child like answers only a kid would be willing have spoon or shoveled into their heads because they were taught adults are always correct. Thing is I'm not a child so I won't be accepting that as an answer.

No God did not create himself.
HE did tell us HE is the alpha and omega, beginning and the end.
HE said he always was. It's just to hard for us to understand or comprehend. We understand everything coming from something, but God said HE has always been. Gives me a headache trying to figure it out, just go shopping. =)

hmm
no . Infinite beings don't have a beginning or an end. The concept of time does not exist, therefore the concept of creating himself does not apply.

There is a scripture in Revelation 1 V 8 which say's openly ' I am the alpha and the omega ( greek...for begining and end..first and last).....' says God ' The one who is and who was...and who is coming...the almighty...' It suggests in it's context that god has always existed, preman...pre anything...he has just always been, he is ALMIGHTY..so therefore did not need anyone or anything to bring him into existence, because he is the most powerful spiritual entity there is, can be, and ever will be.

God is the essence of existence and is the creator of all percieved things.

One of His creations is time as einstein put it time and space/matter are relative therefore before he created this time/space/matter, existence was simply Him. Glory be to Him to whom which time and space do not apply. Why He decided to create is up to him not for us to understand just be thankful about it.

This vast intricately designed universe didn't come from nowhere. And it was the many Prophets he sent DOING MIRACLES who told us where we came from what our purpose is and where we are going.
