Always read the fine print! IT IS ALWAYS there typed at the very bottom in teeny tiny letters.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Don't fill those out anymore. It's all trickery.

Olive Garden has nothing to do with it. These ppl buy an Olive garden Gift Certificate and if you fill out the forms and sign up for something, then you make them more money than they payed for the Gift Card. They sell your information off to companies that have something to do with food, or whatever the prize is. Then they get a cut of whatever other offer you sign up for.

This how you can get everything from an xBox to a new car for "free" on the net. It works, you just end up spending more money than you would if you had just went and bought whatever they're giving away.

You just have to learn the hard way. Nothing is free, even on the net.

Technically (tho you wont agree with me) Olive Garden didnt lie. The reason is because after all of that was filled out they send you a coupon for a free meal. but this is after youve spent 48 hours filling out other forms. Companies can do this as long as they are offering a product and can provide said promise. If you gave up on filling out all the information then they can say "well the "contract" was voided by the customer.

I agree it sucks but thats what happens when corporattions get rich.

Not to be rude but...you fell for that? Well, live an learn. Next time, remember one of these sayings:

1) There's no such thing as a free lunch.
2) If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

And a slightly less well-known one:
3) Never give personal or financial info over the internet unless you know exactly where its going.

first of all, you should try to see through those fake things. know if it's fake, most of these ads are. and if you do start a decent-looking one but it starts lokin fake, stop. And confirm you're sure of evrything before you give your email away, anytime.

Why is it permitted to lie on FOX or any other right-wing media (oh, excuse me, "liberal" media)?
