handcufffs in front, person pinned with their chest to the ground, wrists locked and pulled to the rear, using the chain to cut off the airways?. This is a technique taught to state police and federal security to combat "suspects" in "controlled" custody who refuse to "submit", The story reeks of an overzealous officer holding the the pose too long, in order to teach her a lesson about who is boss.

For WILLIAM b, AND THE NEGOTIATOR:
In an airport you don't handcuff a person from the rear unless they are under arrest for a crime! She was scheduled a later flight. As for tactical procedure? And how to chocke a person with their own cuffs? I'd be glad to demonstrate on either of you. Non-facts....don't be a putz, Read the story, make your narrow mind up, and say ehat you think.
I teach these people, so I base my principles on your input. So far I can have them choke at least two of you without anyone giving a damn. Personally, as a trained professional,(that trains others) there are a lot of questions to be answered. But if William can choke himself, or herself while handcuffed in the rear, that would go on MaxX.
Think Hard Putz's. The rest of you just answer honestly.

Murder is committed with pre-meditation or treachery and not an spontaneous act just like in this case which is homicide which is committed during an arrest.

Slim to none she was murdered. I'd be willing to bet closer to none than slim.

Yet another example of stupid citizens with their stupid opinions and their stupid armchair police chief tactics.

nowhere in the article does it state that she was cuffed with her chest pinned to the ground, wrists locked and pulled to the rear using the chains to cut off airways. It does state she was handcuffed and taken to a holding room where she was left and they checked on her when she stopped screaming.

You cry about people making up their narrow mind when you're coming seriously out of left field with some bulldinky about an officer being overzealous and "showing her who's boss"

Get real. Get a reality check and proceed to give me a thumbs down because you're some cracked out dude who has nothing better to do than imagine scenarios in your head about police brutality that never happened.

Where does it say anywhere in that article that she was "handcufffs in front, person pinned with their chest to the ground, wrists locked and pulled to the rear, using the chain to cut off the airways"?

After reading the article, where do you get all the other details you described? Sounds like you're the overzealous person in trying to place blame on the police and not on the uncooperative violator.

After reading the article and calling my Dad in Scottsdale, AZ and learning as much of the facts I could. I would have to say it was an accidental suicide. Also, you would make a great crime novelist by inventing all those non facts you gave.

It certainly sounds possible that she died as a result of the arrest. It is not necessarily the officer's fault though. She could have gotten too worked up about it and died. It's hard to tell.

I wouldn't call it murder because murder is intentional or pre-meditated. This is involuntary manslaughter.
