Why did no person rise up to help this guy? Why do we allow ourselves to be intimidated by our government? Why is this the most policed country in the world?

conservative libertarian; I am appalled at the number of people that said the guy got what he deserved, just what is wrong with you? Of course that idiot was wrong, that does not excuse what the police did at all. You fools sound like the kind that would gladly give up your rights one at a time, as long as at the time you felt you were only signing away the rights of someone other than yourselves, doing something YOU think is wrong or undesirable. Do you not get it? You pick a person or group you don't like or agree with, and when the chance arrives you vote to pass a law or ordinance rescinding thier right to do whatever it is you don't want THEM to have the right to do. What idiots like you never think of is the fact that as soon as you do something like this you yourself have now lost the right, that prior to this was YOUR PERSONAL, PRIVATE RIGHT. An inherent right, belonging to each and every inividual. Of course you never mean for these new laws to apply to people like yourselves, as you are far to intelligent to need laws such as those applied to you. OF COURSE, when YOU mouth off to a police officer, it will only be because you are in the right, unlike THOSE PEOPLE. Don't be in such a hurry to allow the so called authorities to abuse the powers that WE THE PEOPLE granted them. Remember, government has NO powers but those granted it by the people. Nor does government need any other rights, it is not a person, it doesn't matter if IT lives or dies, unlike you or I, IT can be replaced, period. When I hear comments like the ones on here I am only reminded of the thousands of German citizens that surely thought those filthy jews, gays, gypsys, blacks, etc. got what they deserved. there is no defense for your comments, they are the same thing, the only difference is the timing, and if we continue to allow this kind of thing from our government and OUR government employees, the time will be "right" for such things to happen again.

Did not know what to do were not sure how to respond. Conditioning to obey the law as in when police arrest someone they are entitled to do so is the reasoning. It is very easy to make someone look to be in the wrong . Anyone can be made to look foolish be portrayed as inept an ineffective corrupt politician for instance is what non war prone politicians are portrayed as even when not. Propaganda usually leveled to at people to convince them to give up freedom.

Nobody helped him because he was doing a fine job of acting like an idiot all by himself. Better security might have simply muscled him out the door first but in the end it all worked out pretty well.

No one tried to help him because they all knew he was wrong. The guy was resisting arrest and physically fighting the officers. He was warned that if he did not stop he would be tasered, yet he kept struggling. He got exactly what he deserved.
