There are restrictions limiting the number of hours a store may sell alcohol but they don't restrict which days or hours are used so a store may elect to be open and sell on Sunday but be closed half the day on Monday. Because these hour restrictions are left up to the retailer it really depends on your neighborhood as to what hours your stores will use. Obviously neighborhoods with a late night life will stay open longer than ritzy shops on Madison Avenue. If you aren't in NYC then local jurisdictions may have obtained additional restrictions or simple doesn't have the demand to stay open late or open on Sundays.

New York State Sell Alcholol Monday - Sunday It Use To Be After 12 Pm On Sundays But A Law Was Passes So Now Its Sold Everyday At Anytime The Stores Hours Are Open Till
