No. No one religion could ever really take over the world, no matter how much certain ones (or two...) may try.

No not under one set of beliefs. The world needs to have many beliefs and opinions to make the world and its people unique. Mind you I believe yes as human beings we all will be unified as human beings with many beliefs and opinions. I reckon we all will be unified together one day.

Have you ever been in a room where a committee was discussing a simple problem, such as what color to paint the office walls?
Do you imagine that since a limited people who can't reach a decision on such a simple matter, several billion people can come to an agreeement on something as slippery as a set of beliefs?

the melting of all religions into one is coming....a new universal religion for mankind is only less than a century away....when the great invasion of aliens begins...humanity will have no choice but to band together under one flag to fight off the invaders....it will be during next great war that humanity will truly become one.
believe it or not...an invasion by aliens is only decades away, while we sit in ignorance armies or millions are being massed at the edge of our solar system....while our governments currently secretly surrender...the people will fight back eventually and not accept foreign rule.

Read the Holy Bible the answer is there.
The anti christ will demand that everyone on Earth worship him and they will have to have the mark of the beast to buy or sell anything. There will be the one world government. I wouldn't want to be here for that.

No, absolutely not. Religions have no tolerance for other religions, therefore there can never be common ground.
