I suspect-
Honesty/openness, concern for your partner's well-being, listening carefully to and respecting her thoughts...all conducive to intimacy. If you show that you were paying attention to the details, are really interested in what makes her tick, it can be a confirmation of her worth and your own

This is such a great question!!! if only our politicians have thought of this and attempted to answer it and create an atmosphere "worthy of love and intimacy."
Generally speaking I think love and intimacy results from a few factors, most notably empathy. Once we can understand the pain and suffering of others, we would be able to treat people differently, with respect, understanding and kindness. I think what would naturally follow is love for one another.
If we strike out at others based soley on our own needs and desires, we yield the same, ie opposite and equal reaction, attack and retalliation creating hostility and animosity and then it just become a vicious cycle of hate.

This is a religious question? Intimacy to a woman often means your relationship - not just physical intimacy; but emotional and mental intimacy. To create an atmosphere of love and intimacy, you need to know what both of you enjoy for the different kinds and phases of intimacy and love you want to cultivate. Start unselfishly with what she loves - things like flowers or candle light, her favorite foods and drinks, a comfortable place to be together; other things that do create love and intimate atmospheres have to do with you... your attitude, your interest in her as a person... and so on.

Try making regular emotional deposits of sincere respect and admiration towards your partner and with time either it will blossom or if not, then you might want to reconsider the level of intimacy that exist and discuss with her how you can enhance it.
If she comes out wanting material stuff then you are in a shallow one.
It will then be up to you whether you want to cultivate that with this person.

There are hundreds of ways but I suppose the best is romantic music. There's something about music that speaks directly to the soul.
