God loves you. That is why. http://www.fathersloveletter.com .

Jesus said at the end of Matthew before He ascended to heaven, "All power is given unto me in heaven & in earth. Go ye therefore & teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father & the Son & the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsowever I have commanded you: & lo I AM with you always, even unto the ends of the ages.".

At my Church you can get answers to baptism questions http://www.riveroflifefellowship.org . When one is born again, they want to be water baptized in obedience to God, because this represents the foundation of the Christian Church. God Is in the Name of the Father, the Son & the Holy Ghost. And one needs to confess Jesus Christ their Lord & Savior (atonement for sins) & believe in their heart Jesus raised from the dead. So we who believe in Him will raise up whole like Him in resurrection day complete. See? Jesus defeated sin, death & the grave for us.

The water baptism represents this & is an act of faith. You go down & the old man dies (sins washed away by His redeeming blood) The new man comes up, born again of His Spirit, alive forevermore.

So we are baptised with His death & Resurrection. But then after we are born again, then we need to renew our mind in the Word of God. Wash in the Word. Because this is where we find out who we are in Christ & about God our Father. About the gifts of the Holy Spirit. About the victory in Christ. See we are whole; body, soul & spirit. Our new spirit is attached to our soul. But our body is still corruptible with the sin nature & will die. (To be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord.) That is why we choose to die to the flesh (not reacting by yelling, cussing, etc.) but to make the soul choice to follow after the Spirit (faith, hope, love, joy, peace, patience, honesty, truth, forgiveness, etc...) The Holy Spirit leads us through our new born spiritman. He wont force us to follow.

See? You are at an age of accountability right now. And when you follow through & obey God of the Holy Bible, then you are born again, born of His Spirit, cleansed by His blood, joint heirs with King Jesus & part of the family of God.

So? You need to be baptized in a Church founded on the Rock, Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. Who believes & teaches the whole Holy Bible. Because the ones who add or take away from Gods Word doesn't have the Holy Spirit of the Bible. But are a counterfit. Mostly it is the foundation that is sooo important. Jesus builds His Church on the confession that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. And it is God who enlightens us to this truth.

Don't be baptized into a Church denomination. Be baptized because you want to be obedient to Jesus. Our Church does baptisms but they don't charge anyone money to do this. Any Church who charges money would be saying you can purchase salvation. You can't purchase salvation. Jesus Christ shed His blood on Calvery's cross to pay for our sins. He purchased our salvation. It is a gift & not of works lest we boast...

Don't be baptized into the Mormon Church because they have a different Holy Spirit than the biblical Gospels. They have the book of Mormon that is apocryphal (false). Once you are baptized into the Church you need to do all you can to attain salvation (hopefully).

Feel free to write me any questions about the right Church in your area. I can do a web search for you. Also, check out my undenominational Church. My Pastor preaches the Word of God & I was healed at this Church.

Also a trustworthy web site on how to get saved is http://www.billygraham.com & click on the right salvation spot. And also there is a phone number you can call. You can just confess out loud to God right now Jesus Christ your Lord & Savior & believe in your heart He raised from the dead. Faith comes by hearing & hearing a Word about Christ / God. So? Hear yourself say it. Then You can be assurred from God you are on the right track.

The best time to be baptized is not the age, but the commitment. When you are honest before God & man to make a public testimony of what Jesus has done for you.

Also remember that Confessing Jesus Christ your Lord & believing He raised form the dead is soo important. He raised up whole; resurrected new everlasting body, soul & spirit. This is how we will also raise up, an everlasting body, soul & spirit. This is how we are restored & made in the image of God complete again.

If this is a "phase" it is a very good one which I hope will last the rest of your life. You are not crazy...God is speaking to your heart. Here is a Bible text that says exactly what you are feeling. " He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." Mark 16:16
Before you are baptized you need to know WHAT to believe. Acts 16:31 tells you...." Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." Pastors do not charge money to baptize you. They will want to talk to you to make sure you understand and believe. Baptism is showing everybody that you believe in Jesus and that you want to get rid of your old self (bury in the water) and have a new heart that God will give you. It is a symbol of having a new life with Jesus. I am so happy for you and will pray that you won't be confused but will find the right person to talk to and will be baptized. Email me if you would like to talk ok?

You didn't say where you're from, but if you really want to know how to go about being baptized, here's how to do it:

1. You must HEAR the word of God, Romans 10:17;
2. You must BELIEVE what you've heard, Romans 10:9-10, Hebrews 11:6;
3. You must REPENT of your sins, Luke 13:3;
4. You must CONFESS the name of Jesus, Matthew 10:32;
5. You must BE BAPTIZED in water for the remission of your sins, Acts 2:38, 8:37-38.
After that, you must BE FAITHFUL unto Death, Acts 2:42. Revelation 2:10.

Everyone else has told you to join the church of your choice, pray this prayer, Jesus is everywhere, baptism is an outward sign of inward grace, but NONE of that is true. The only place you will find all these steps is in the Church of Christ. Check out www.bible.ca, or look in your local phone book for a Church of Christ near you.

Baptism is an outward sign of what Jesus has done for you.

Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
Here in this verse we read that baptism is for those who believe.One must believe that Jesus has died for their sins, and now has a relationship with God the Father.

Col 2:12 "Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead."
We never bury something that is alive.Therefore the old man must be dead, Eph. 4:22, (dead to sins of the past).As you go down into the water it (represents) the fact that the old man is no dead and you are telling the world that you are burying him/her.As you come up out of the water it signifies how Christ came up out of the grave.This (represents) that you have been "born again" John 3, and are now a New creature in Christ the Lord,
2Cr 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

As for it costing something to be baptized.If it does your at the wrong Church.Also if their ready to baptize you without any kind of council first,your at the wrong Church.You are however making a wonderful decission.One that you will always cherish.Do it according to the word of God, let there be no regrets but only joy for this occasion.You could be that chosen one, that God has called upon to be a witness to your family.Because of you your whole family might be saved in these last days.God be with you in a mighty and powerful way.May He grant you Joshua chapter 1, in the Name of Jesus I pray.

No it will not cost any money to be baptized. And not it is not a phase. Different churches have different forms of baptism, some sprinkle the person with water, others dunk the person in water. You might try calling some of the Christian churches in your area and ask to speak with a minister about baptism. I'm guessing that they will be very happy to talk with you. God Bless!

If you want to be baptized, then you need to contact the church you want to do it for you, just call them on the phone. Never mind your family; if there is a way you should go do it regardless of how they are about it. No one should ever stand in your way of that. You could wait until you are 18, and God certainly understands if you have parents standing in the way; once you are an adult you don't need their consent. It's really OK to wait if you have to because of them. But if they won't stop you and it won't cause trouble in your home, then go ahead and check it out. Some churches put a lot of study into it, others need parental consent. So, the first two things to do are to get the facts from the Church you want, and then go to your parents about consent if the church requires it.

I am now not an informed on the washings and immersions of Judaism (or most religions), however in the New testament we can read Paul's opinion that baptism is a symbolism of the dying, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (the historical church practiced baptism by using immersion, and in view that we make really sure that a lifeless body is entirely buried, our baptisms are complete immersions in water. This explains why John the Baptist preached where there was once "a lot water.") even as it would not be crucial to comprehend or accept this symbolism, what's the factor of baptism? It is to kind a spiritual closeness to Jesus Christ and to be purified from our sins, as though it had been feasible to clean them away. Baptism, then, is an vital part of the approach of repentance. Baptism can be largely held to be the primary a part of joining a specific church. Some churches have a second phase called a confirmation to finish the process, enable a rededication of 1's existence to God, or to bestow the reward of the Holy Ghost. Quickly before the institution of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a few persons who had been baptized for the remission of their sins balked at having to be baptized a 2d time to end up contributors of that Church as soon as it had been legally based. They failed to appreciate (or want to confess, probably) that additionally they needed to be obedient to the commandment to be baptized to enter into the Church. Even Jesus, who didn't individually need a remission of sin, advised John the Baptist, "undergo it to be so [go ahead and baptize me], for for this reason it becometh us [because this is the right way for us] to fulfill all righteousness [to obey God's commandments]." Jesus also mentioned, "i am the way in which, the reality, and the lifestyles. No man cometh unto the daddy but by way of me." That means that we ought to comply with Jesus' example and be baptized (and obey the current legal guidelines and keep the current commandments of God) if we need to enter heaven.

I think you want to be baptized so that you can feel closer to God, or feel a part of something, or maybe you are hoping that by being baptized, you can find what you are searching for.
Sweet girl, all you need to do is sincerely ask Jesus to come into your heart and you will find what you are looking for. After you do that, it won't be hard to find a church that will allow you to be baptized -for free. Baptism is a ceremony - a beautiful one - however, having Jesus come into your heart is a life-changing experience.
Try it, you'll love it!

You're not crazy at all. I'm Catholic, so of course I'd love to say you should choose Catholicism, but really you have to make an informed choice. Don't let anyone pressure you. Do your own research, attend different types of service, talk to your friends, priests, preachers, and anyone you can, and you will make the right choice for yourself. If anyone tries to charge you anything above and beyond an optional donation to the Church, run. That should never be what it's about.

Seek out a local church where the Bible is taught and you are recieved with love. A group that are like minded and willing to teach you without condemnation will ne the healthiest place for you to be right now.

I most note that the baptism is a outward sign of an inner change. It is th change of heart that is most omportant to God. The physical baptism is an outward show of your faith.

We are Baptised because we believe and obey, Not in order to be saved.

God Bless you in your journey.

I am a Christian. And I believe going to Church is important. But I think you ought to go, and find out who Jesus is. Baptism is outward action of something that has already happend in your heart, the surrender of your life the Jesus. Therefore baptism isn't something you should do unless you have a relationship with Jesus. Do look into Him. It is because of Him that you live and He loves you more then anyone else could. He know's everything about you and wants to be known by you. I hope you find Him.
