breakfast is the most important meal of the day - it lets your body know its time to wake up and start burning calories, otherwise its still in starvation/calorie savings mode from the night.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 400-600cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day (have lots of veggies to eat in between meals if you are still hungry)
8 glasses of water -carry bottle of water with you and when you feel hungry drink it - we often confuse hunger with thirst (our bodies confuse it)
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for average of 45min, light weight training a few times a week (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, ice cream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
of course you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You're not being honest with yourself. You really don't know why you're gaining weight? Come on, barring having some sort of medical condition or growing a large tumor, you CAN NOT be gaining weight if you are eating less and exercising more. If you burn more calories in a day than you consume, you will lose weight, PERIOD. Be honest with yourself, DIET AND EXERCISE is the only way you can lose excess fat. IF you are still gaining weight, EAT EVEN LESS and EXERCISE more. IT IS THAT SIMPLE. I hope this helps you out. I know it isn't easy, but let's be honest here. Good Luck!!!

Diet and Exercise are the way to go, i know you think it takes a long time but if you dont exercise often it goes fairly quickly and you feel great for doing it that way, i know i did it. when i started i weighed 250 at 13, i just turned 14 and am down to 200, i was at 192, but i started lifting and gained some, and to say so myself i look great and i feel great, anywayz even if the weight is not all off by the time your boy gets back which it most likely wont be by any method, but if your exercising he'll know your making greata strides to get yourself back

You say you eat small chunks and exercise. That's good.
Now try weightlifting, concentrating on your big muscles like your back and thighs. You're a girl, so you won't bulk up a lot easily, but your newly gained muscles will keep on burning fat while you're sleeping. The secret to gaining those small muscles are rest, so one day weights then next day easy walks, then weights the next day or rest. Hope that helps.

Forget about your boyfriend, and think about taking care of your health. Do it for yourself. If the guy really loves you (whatever that means at 15!!!) he shouldn't care about your weight. However, you should think about what effect that has on your health. Go to your pediatrician with your mom and get a plan for a healthy way to lose weight (and not by skipping meals) -- he/she should also rule out any other reason you may be getting weight on.

It sounds like you're doing the best thing you can - limit calories, exercise, maintain a well-balanced diet. Just remember that too few calories is just as bad as too many.
If you really have concerns about your weight gain, you should see your family doctor. He/she should be able to give you some good pointers, as well as rule out other possible causes.
Just remember your boyfriend should like you no matter what you look like! :)
