Also, do they go to regular doctors, dentists and health care professionals or are they more into natural/herbal medicine and self care?

Hi

Scientology is a religion. It addresses the spirit and it's relationship with and in the physical universe.
It's not practicing medicine. It doesn't replace medical science.
I'm a Scientologist. I have a medical Dr. (There are medical Dr's who are also Scientologists too.)
If I need physical treatment for my body I go to my medical doctor and do what my doctor advises like everyone else.
Infact my religion insists on it even though I am personally not a big fan of medical doctors.

It is also fact however that when one is in good condition spiritually ones body stays pretty healthy too.
This is definitely something I have personally experienced through Scientology.
Scientology has many spiritual assists that can be done to speed or enhance the healing processes of the body when or if medical procedure has become necessary.

As for dentists.... I wish!! You should see my dental bills.

Yes they are all for surgery and medicine. They are just down on drugs. The difference between a medicine and a drug is that a medicine is a cure and a drug is just a way to feel better. Drugs dont cure they just mask. They especially dislike psychiatrists (not psychologists) that give mind altering drugs to make you forget that you had a problem. But yeah, surgery and various therapys are all good things.

It's Christian Scientists, not Scientologists, that oppose surgery as a means of healing.

Scientologists believe that confused alien spirits inhabit our bodies and cause most of our physical and psychological ailments (everything from asthma to blindness).

The official policy of Scientology is that you need to go to the doctor.
P.S. Scientologist don't believe that Psychiatrist are doctors. We see tham as Bozzos.
